Finally, finally I am getting this answered for you, Cila! I took a long time to come up with these. I hope they are at least vaguely interesting.
1. I am a very slow adapter to new technology. I just don’t have an interest in it? What I have is fine? But then I get a new piece of technology and I can’t imagine doing without it! I got my first tablet a few years ago and now I would really miss it. In December I got my first TV stick so I can now watch Netflix and stuff without connecting my laptop up with a cable (which I did for years). It’s great! I use it every day now. I still have a standard DVD player and a large collection of SD DVDs. Maybe when it breaks I’ll get a Blu-ray. Maybe. The thing I have is fine…
2. I have just finished day five of cutting out nearly all sugar in my diet. My doctor says I am this close to being a diabetic but if I lose some weight and cut down on sugar I should be able to reverse the damage. Hopefully! Whatever will be will be, of course, but I’m going to try.
3. I have been driving quad bikes since I was seven years old. There’s a safety notice on each bike that says things like “wear a helmet” and “don’t operate under the age of 16” so I took a marker and attempted to change the 16 to a 10 but of course I was seven so still a bit young! I graduated to tractors when I was 11. Actually a car is the only thing I waited until I was the appropriate age to drive.
4. I’m not very well travelled - I have been to London to see the Queen (my friend is very into the royal family) and she actually looked down the barrel of my camera as she was driven past on her carriage. I mean I don’t really care one way or the other about the royal family but I still thought that was pretty cool.
5. Speaking of travelling, one of the art teachers at my technical college where I was studying photography begged me to go with her to Berlin on a class trip. Actually took me out into the hallway and begged me. At this point I hadn’t been to London so she just wanted me to go somewhere new and experience the world a bit. More to life than sheep, apparently.
