#binder hack

My binder! I made this myself.

It's made out of Powernet fabric for the main body, with French Terry as the binding. I got those from fit2sew.co.uk and flamingofabrics.co.uk respectively

I used the Ellie & Mac tank top pattern, as a normal 3xl I made an XS- one of the admins on the LGBT sewing Facebook group I'm in posted a hack for the pattern.

I'm really pleased with the fit and I have some teal powernet and matching origami dinosaur fabric for another one.

In total this has cost me about £15, and took a little less than two hours to make. Praise be the overlocker.

Protip for my trans friends, butches, nonbinary people, and other gender-nonconform folks! If your shirts keep falling too low and exposing more of your binder than your comfortable showing, get some bobby pins or barrettes and pin your shirt to your binder! I love you all, stay safe out there.
