❛❛  I  AM  NOT  TIRED  –   ❜❜   they  say  ,  mid-yawn  and  eyes  barley  able  to  stay  open  longer  than  a  couple  of  seconds  at  a  time.  in  truth  it's  what  they  got  for  constantly  putting  off  paperwork  for  the  past  few  weeks  …  focused  more  on  the  wild  hunt  and  project  stuzha  than  doing  their  actual  work.  which  has  now  left  them  having  to  speed  through  it  with  little  time  to  sleep  in  between  .

THEIR  COMPLAINTS  HOWEVER  fall  short,  they  have  no  want  to  argue  against  the  other  –  nor  any  energy  to  fight  back  as  they're  helped  up  and  away  from  their  desk,  off  towards  the  nearby  bed  in  their  temporary  home  in  nod-krai.  they  do  take  a  moment  to  glance  back  towards  their  desk,  nose  scrunching  at  the  sight  of  the  stacks  of  paper  they've  still  yet  to  get  through  ..  only  to  sigh  as  they  sit  ,  and  eventually  lay  down  on  the  bed.

             𝐆𝐎𝐋𝐃𝐄𝐍 𝐂𝐑𝐎𝐖𝐍𝐄𝐃 𝐀𝐃𝐕𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐄𝐑'𝐒 𝐄𝐘𝐄𝐒 𝐖𝐈𝐃𝐄𝐍     &   a little gasp falls off her lips as she stares at the man                     immediately noticing the missing vision / otherwordly aura / powers just used   on enemies that crumbled beneath their feets just then.    lumine has never seen such a thing ;    intrigue & interest radiating off of her in waves but she stayed cautios.    afterall, many times again & yet again someone had seemed friendly just to turn out to be an enemy.   she was quite wary / tired of these happenings at this point in her journey.  letting her sword vanish, head titles just a tad bit as she studied the person.    what a curious & bizarre display of power ;   the glimmer of red still fresh on the woman's memory.  asking bluntly may yield the best result                              even though it could also prompt them to strike.    in the end, her curiosity won :    words sharp yet friendly / interested.        a smile, syllables falling softly from tongue like leaves during autumn                     tone inquisitive but not pressing.

The words that left Aizawa's mouth were more than enough to stop Toshinori in his movement's then. The older hero had been making a simple pot of tea for the both of them, after what seemed to be quite the long night for either of them to endure. The silence had been comfortable, as it always was with the other man. Something about it when in the presence of their local underground hero always settled like a blanket of calm over Toshinori rather than something unsettled. So to have it broken, and by such a statement? It genuinely surprised the blonde. Had him pause in his unraveling of the tea bags he was currently putting into separate cups for the both of them.

"Ah — there really is no need to thank me, Aizawa-kun. . ! I'd say us lot have to stick together, don't you? Granted I still might not be the best teacher in comparison, but I'll always be a hero at heart, you know. Even retired as I am now." He laughed the words off, shook his head, left longer bangs to sway with the motion. "Being said hero means taking care of others. Even coworkers." Especially coworkers, he thought offhandedly as he continued on with steeping the tea. Gods forbid he leave Aizawa to stoop in his own misery. He had a feeling the darker haired man might appreciate that, the alone time, but Toshinori could be a bit stubborn around those he considered close friends. . .

little Eri often seemed to be the catalyst for their conversations lately, with the days spent with just the three of them coming swiftly and in varying intensity. it almost felt like having a family ― mistaken for her mother, mistaken for his wife, mistaken for a sweet family on a day out by people who wouldn't know any better ( not to mention the way the students drew attention to it, just to get a rise out of her ). Ah, if only they knew.

still, she is grateful for the momentary respite from her loneliness, and the acknowledgement that the three of them had looked so good together. So how could she have said 'no'?

" A little family outing with the three of us? " her voice is measured and steady, as casually as she can muster. " Sounds like fun, should we head out after school hours? "

   ah — now that's a look hedgehog's seen before. many of times. even if it's only barely showing itself on the man's expression, it can still be felt. obviously unperturbed by stranger's growing irritation ( and headache ) , grin is wide on peach muzzle / full of energy and a playful sense of mischief / he knows exactly what he's doing.

   as if intentionally contradicting himself, whirl finally seems to come to a stop / sat almost like a child on top of the nearest thing. " nah, not really. " what else is a hyperactive hedgehog like him supposed to do when in a new setting, sit still ? please.

ㅤㅤTHEY  STARE  UP  AT  HIM  AS  HE  SPEAKS  ,  dull  eyes  wide  and  full  of  uncertainty  .  they  have  to  admit  they  never  thought  that  they  would  have  ended  up  here  ..  having  someone  who  cares  so  much  for  them   –  see's  them  as  a  person  rather  than  the  weapon  they  were  clearly  made  to  be  .

it  was  …  a  strange  feeling 

ㅤㅤBUT  ONE  THEY  WANTED  TO  GET  USED  TO  ,  they  sigh  softly  as  they  step  forward  and  reach  up  to  gently  cup  his  face,  nose  scrunching  playfully  at  the  older  man.  ❛❛  yeah  ?  funny,  because  i  only  have  eyes  for  you  .  nobody  else  has  been  able  to  make  me  as  happy  as  you  have  ,  in  so  many  ways.  ❜❜

THEY  LEAN  UP  ,  PRESSING  A  GENTLE  KISS  against  his  nose.  hopping  backwards  a  moment  later  with  a  playful  grin.  they  could  never  be  to  serious  ,  even  in  situations  like  this.  because  even  when  all  was  happy  their  anxiety  couldn't  help  but  spite.

ㅤㅤ❛❛  COME  ON  ,  if  we  keep  hanging  around  we'll  miss  our  date.  we've  been  planning  this  for  weeks  -  i'd  much  rather  not  miss  it  because  we  want  to  be  a  little  sappy  .  ❜❜
