Back in December, @boombox-fuckboy had the fantastic idea to create an audio fiction bingo card to encourage fun, engagement, and diversity in listening. With its blessing I rolled with the idea, and I'm very stoked to present the inaugural edition of Bingo AF!
Offered here are a bingo card, six variety cards, and a podcast of the month template. Further event details are below the cut. Happy listening, y'all 💗
What is Bingo AF!?
Bingo AF! is a low-key, year-long event where people seek to fill out a bingo card by listening to audio fiction. The goal is to have fun, encourage interaction with creators, and nudge people to diversify their podcast listening habits.
The 2026 Bingo Card is shared in this post, along with a few bonus (opt-in) Variety Cards. The Podcast of the Month template may be used to showcase your listening goals or to create a list of your favorite podcasts this year, over time.
How do I participate?
To play bingo, save the 2026 Bingo Card and listen to audio fiction podcasts that check off its boxes. One podcast can cover up to two squares. Whether you listen to strike a line or try to fill out the whole card is up to you - think of the bingo card as a tool and a guide, rather than a to-do list.
Many of the bingo card entries are taken from responses to boombox-fuckboy's post. You'll find that a sizeable chunk of the bingo card entries encourage engagement with audio fiction creators and fellow listeners. Feel free to share the event and templates with the communities that are meaningful to you.
We ask you stay true to the bingo entries - especially the ones that encourage diversity and representation. For example, a disability with a magical workaround doesn't count as genuine disability rep. Comment on this post if you need an entry clarified. Really enjoying the exploration of the life after, Keisha's joy of married life. The past vs the present. Gods the music is gorgeous. It's making me nostalgic in the best way, I want to relisten the whole show.

I'm heading towards the S1 finale and now I'm in territory I haven't heard before (I started relistening after Ep40). Having a blast. If you're quiet enough you can hear me make happy stim noises as I wander through the dark pines.
The Very Prudent Decisions of Hortlakçı Süleyman Hoca

I LOVE THIS SCHOLAR/FOOL <3 I'm excited that Episode 4 is a part 1 (with an amazing scene between Süleyman and the Old Grandfather with the White Beard, played by Karim Kronfli) -> digging our teeth into a longer story. Yum.
The storytelling of this show is so kind and tender and fun and it has great horror moments. Truly amazing work. Everyone listen to this show NOW.
Leaving Corvat
Episodes 1-6
This show feels inspired by Alice Isn't Dead, or maybe that's me listening to both in the same week, hah. It's a little odd to listen to an Americana story from a European creator. There's a lot of fatphobia, bodyshaming/horror-genre typical ableism, and offhand prejudice against the homeless in this one (no CW given by the show). I do really like the twist that's sneaking into these episodes and the background score is great. Enjoyable enough to continue listening; I'm noting the CW in my spreadsheet.
When Angels Visit Armadillo
The full limited series (8 episodes)
This was an incredible, very sapphic "investigative true crime podcast" story set in the US south, small town, Black lesbian lead. Great mystery and I adore good unreliable witnesses/narrators writing. Angels? Aliens? Bunch of bastards? Something else? Guess you'll have to listen and decide for yourself, reader. Immediately on my To Relisten list.

Someone recommended this show for me for my BINGO card and gods fuck yes this is right up my alley. Improvised microfiction with a mystery/story you kinda have to puzzle for yourself? DELIGHTFUL.
WOE.BEGONE
Episode 252 (S21 finale, current)
We didn't bounce to the moon but that's okay, I love to chase a dream. I adore the Big Plot choices made in this finale. I'm incredibly excited to see these develop into a (this twist of the show specific) exploration of capitalism, corpocracy, and inescapable surveillance state(s).
AUDIO FICTION BINGO
Finally, since we're halfway through the year now (bizarre) I figured I'd share the current state of my personal BINGO cards. I'm aiming to fill every card out with each podcast only counting towards one box - not the bingo rules, I just like making my life difficult. So I still have some listening to do (yahoo yippee)
