Okay not an headcanon post but i have to get this out of my brain
If Donnie and his spouse/partner(you) ever had their own place i dont think you guys would have actual children
You guys have robot children
ONCE S.H.E.L.L.D.O.N STARTED LIKING YOU YOU IMMEDIATELY BECAME HIS OTHER PARENT LIKE If donnie were to yell at him he would go crying to you type thing
You just gained a son apon becoming Donnies partner. it's inevitable
And throught time, instead of actual Babies, Donnie just makes another robot or two which are immediately adopted into your little family.
I think Donnie would be to overwhelmed by the concept of having little breathing gremlins and how to be a good father to them, he does alot better with his robots and loves them so much, and he also loves you so, happy little family:)))
If anyone else says something about it he gets so offended like, "SCOFF, these ARE my children, how DARE you talk so little of them!" And you have to step in before he gets all apeshit
Even though they are robots, you do treat them like they are your own children and love them equally. Its another thing Donnie likes about you, that you dont treat them as metal and more of living beings as he sees.
And if anything were to happen to you, you bet there will be a pissed off turtle man and the rest of your robot children ready to absolutely kill someone on your behalf
