A shambling creature formed of fungi and roaches crawls up to you, drops a body that has a few spots of rot on it, and backs away. Its voice, when it speaks, is raspy and broken. "Here- eat. We- safe here. No hurt us. I- cannot die."

i do not eat. i consume. such a sugary pastry is source of little nutriens for me. but i applaud you for trying. it rots my flesh.
