i FINALLY move out in 3 days! i cant wait live in a totally new place and be so much closer to LA. so stoked for the next two(ish) years i have at biola.
My parents are the absolute best. Tonight they totally surprised me by telling me that tomorrow, they are picking up a MacBook Air for me that they bought ON TOP of paying for Biola and all my dorm stuff. PTL.
Once it set it in that I was accepted to Biola, I realized it meant that I get to move out and I got excited all over again.
Baby I'm Biola Bound (What to Expect)
Sorry this took so long but here it is! Straight from my friend Annie Camara, who is a Biola Ambassador! Here’s what to expect!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Biola Bound is a four day event for prospective juniors and seniors who live outside Southern California. There are about fifty students who come to Biola Bound from Northern California and different states. It is a fun event to come and experience life at Biola as well as get a taste of Southern California. Biola Bound starts on a Saturday, students arrive at the LAX Airport and are picked up by current admission counselors. Each counselor will have a group of five students accompanied by a student ambassador from Biola. After the students leave the airport they will have a little taste of Southern California. The counselors will take students to get something to eat or take the students to the beach so students can get acquainted with one another and hang out before orientation. After the hang out students will arrive to Biola and check in. Once students are checked in they will go on a tour and then have dinner afterwards. After dinner students will have orientation to meet all the rest of the Biola Bound students. After orientation students will meet their dorm hosts and get escorted to their rooms for the night. Students then have the option to get coffee at one of our coffee shops Common Grounds. This is just the beginning of Biola Bound. On Sunday, students will wake up early to go to one of the local churches for worship. After church students will go grab lunch at In N Out! [It’s a must to try In N Out, a total Californian thing]. After In N Out, students will go to Disneyland Resort! [Another must Californian visit]. Students have the choice to pick between Disneyland and Disney’s California Adventure and they spend the whole day with new friends in the theme parks. On Monday, it’s a day dedicated for students to explore Biola. Students are able to attend chapel, go to different classes and get to know the campus. There will be breakout sessions where students are able to ask questions about majors, admissions, financial aid, and any questions they might have for an Admission Counselor. After students explore Biola they will go to dinner and have a night hang out with the Biola Bound Crew. On Tuesday it is a bittersweet day. It’s a day to wrap up the Biola bound experience because students will get ready to return to their homes. Admission counselors will take students back to the LAX airport and wish them the best of luck.
