Bip Roberts was one of the most electric Padres players in history. He hit from both sides of the plate, scored, stole bases, and played infield and outfield positions.
The 1990 campaign with the Padres was his finest work, setting career highs in hits (172), doubles (36), stolen bases (46), and home runs (9). He had a .309 batting average on the year.
His career batting average with the Friars ranks third highest in team history.
