Balancing Act--White-crowned Sparrow by marlin harms Via Flickr: Zonotrichia leucophrys, Morro Bay, CA As noted in the adjacent photo, we have had a few plants come up in the yard that are probably from the seed in bird feeders. Many individuals of this plant came up and we let one grow, just to see. We think it might be millet. If it isn't and you know what it is, please leave a note. White-crowned Sparrows and a California Towhee fed on the seeds occasionally over several days.
