Kingfishers

Small birds that live in forests, near rivers and eat fish, which they catch by swooping down from a branch.

There are more species, though the term usually refers to the Common Kingfisher

Common wood pigeon

Usually called just wood pigeon, the birds can be found throughout most of Europe and Western Asia. They live in big flocks outside breeding season and those from urban areas can become easily tamed.

Beautiful birds, native to Australia’s semi-arid and arid inland. They are very social and can be seen in the company of other cockatoo species such as galahs and little corellas.

Small parrot native and endemic to Australia, also introduced to New Zealand. Like most parrots, they are monogamous and mate for life.

Intelligent and social Australian birds, galahs love to play the fool, doing somersaults in the air, hanging upside-down on branches and sliding down on wires.
