Artist’s Grimoire

So, as you may or may not know, I am an artist as well as a witch. And I got to thinking... what if I combined the two?

My idea is that I could finally start that BOS/Grimoire, but make it more of an art portfolio style, with illustrations filling every page. And since it would be my own personal book, I can do whatever I want with it, right? So why not add tips and tricks for art as well as magic? Because to me, art IS a form of magic. So I’ll have my witchy wisdom and my artsy notes all in one.

Now I’ve got to find some way to fit it all into a neatly organized (yeah right) book of some sort.

Hello I have not left this blog in the dust. It’s been a very busy summer and with all the freelance work I’ve been getting, I just haven’t been having much time for my own babs. I’ll answer any asks that have been left in my inbox and get things back on track.

Late night thoughts

I've changed so much in just the last 6 months it's hard to keep up with myself. Like suddenly I'm all existential and I believe things I never would have expected to, even this time last year. I am also physically weaker. It's like I'm more fragile and painful every day. And I don't know why. Supposedly there's a hereditary gene in my family that starts destroying the proteins in your nerves... but I'm too scared to think that might really be what's going on. I need to see a doctor to figure it out, but I don't know how to go about it because my overprotective mom has kept me away from doctors as much as possible all my life. I'm kinda scared and really frustrated. I'm so tired of always being tired and sore and weak.

My boyfriend did the sweetest thing the other day. I told him I was insecure about my stretch marks. That I didn't even know why I had them and that they made me feel like a scratched up painting. But then he held me close and told me that I shouldn't be upset about them. That they were like beautiful battle scars to be proud of. They showed how much I have grown. Then he told me that I was not the only one who had them. He showed me that he had them as well, and kissed me, saying that we were the same.
