Ghost: *gets a cast for a broken arm and wants to murder someone because of it*
Soap: *paints Starry Night on it*
Ghost: *completely and utterly gone on this man because holy shit this ADHD motherfucker just sat still for 3 hours making his cast pretty to make him feel better* "marry me"
Soap, Price, and Gaz walk into the rec room to find Ghost sprawled on the couch with 2 kittens and a mama cat on his chest and stomach
Soap: "what's going on in here?"
Ghost, not looking up from his book: "they're my daughter and grandchildren, say hello"
Gaz, confused as fuck: "your what?"
Ghost, just wanting the day to be a little less boring: *monotone voice* "yes, this is Adriana, I birthed her myself 3 years ago, she and the little ones are visiting"
Price, used to his bullshit: "who's Adriana's dad?"
Ghost, knowing full well he hadn't known him before a year ago: "Soap"
After some failed mission where Ghost almost sacrificed himself to ensure that Soap got away safely
Soap: *pacing the room and lecturing Ghost on how he shouldn't put himself in harms way and that shit* "what the fuck were you thinking LT, I'm not important enough for that, you should cut your losses and get out of there not get fucking SHOT"
Ghost: *high as hell on painkillers and in a hospital room nursing a bullet wound in his side* "I'm so irrevocably in love with you that it makes me look fucking stupid"
Soap, all wind out of his sails, head over heels for this dumb ass man and scared he was gonna lose him only to be told what he's been waiting to hear for 2 months: *sits down in silence and holds Ghost's hand* "go the fuck to sleep LT"
Soap and Gaz: *Ribbing Ghost about some of his habits such as picking apart pre-made sandwiches to rearrange them or when he hears something unexpected and goes so completely still you'd think he's a statue*
Ghost: "At least I didn't have a werewolf phase"
Soap: *Genuinely scared for his life cause he was 13 when that happened so how THE FUCK did Ghost know that?* "WHAT?"
Gaz, also had a werewolf phase at 13: *stunned and doesn't know how to talk*
Price: *so only Ghost will hear* "at least I'm not dancing around my feelings with my subordinate"
Ghost, ready to murder: "I will end you and your ability to speak Russian"
Anyway, first episode, Robert gets told by toxic that the augmentations by Shroud do good with people like Robert (no powers) but are amazing for those with powers beforehand. How he says it feels very implied to be pointed at Robert and his own stats.
In the third episode, after they're called into the conference room for their pep talk, Robert TANKS getting thrown into chairs from across the room by Golem, like just gets up and throws a chair in his face.
In the fifth (?) episode, he gets the shit kicked out of him in the bar and looks overall less worse for wear than you would expect of a man who's been hit in the head 100 times and had to bite a man's finger off and dodge a shit ton of stuff thrown his way.
My thoughts? Without his dad's or his own knowledge, Eliot (shroud) tested his augmentations on Robert before he turned on the team.
He also, after getting out of a 4 month coma, lifts about 300 lbs on the bench until failure. We do not see how long he lifts until flambae arrives to mock him, but it's implied he hasn't been working out since he woke up. This man sleeps on a lawn chair and not a bed or couch or anything soft, we never see him working out otherwise and it's heavily implied he hasn't before this so we're assuming it's been about a month and a half? Maybe? Since his stint in the coma?
I FORGOT
THIS MAN TANKS A FUCKING EXPLOSION AND WAKES UP HOURS LATER, WALKING OUT OF THE INFIRMARY LIKE NOTHING
We think Robert was 11 before his dad died and he became mecha man, what if Eliot had been testing his projects on Robert before he turned on the team? When Chase didn't have the time to babysit or was needed elsewhere, maybe Eliot would put him to bed and then test the augmentations, leading to better durability, strength, and agility, which Robert showcases multiple times throughout the game.
Robert just never noticed because he was thrown into hero work as an 11 year old and a growing body is unpredictable.
Anyway, thats my Ted talk, I'm watching a playthrough for the third time and am having ideas
