Flying

Sometimes you create things

Things that aren’t meant to be shared,

No matter how much people claim art is.

But art is fluid, changing and growing

Almost as much as a birds flight.

So many forms for landing, taking off,

Moving with the wind or against it.

If I bird could speak would flight be art?

Or would it be just a way of travel,

Perhaps beautifully rare to us

But nothing spectacular to them.

I create things I don’t want to share,

So I keep them close, just for me,

Then wish to tell stories of them instead.

Perhaps that’s what flying is to birds.

Something just for them,

To travel and move or just relax above the world,

But in stories it becomes vivid and amazing

Because language doesn’t lend itself to small

To the quiet soft moments

Unless you make them quietly magical at least.
