Contrary to popular belief, there are still baby birds in nests, like this cardinal. Please dont kidnap them. Place them back in the nest, or make a replacement and hang it as close to the nest as you can get. If all else fails or you have questions call a rehabber! Dont take the baby to a vets office to euthanize the healthy animal because you couldnt be bothered to keep trying or to protect it from your dogs in your yard... -_- I understand being unsure of what to do, but to just decide its not worth it and to euthanize it? ...ANYWAY... that's a call I got yesterday and was able to transport baby to the local rehabber who happens to have another cardinal around this age.
