Did you know that when a bird hits a window, often times it's still alive, just dazed. When you find them on their backs, orientating them properly and giving them time to rest can help save their lives. And you know what?! After a bit of time they fly away perfectly fine! We learned that today when this little bird hit our window. We read on an Audubon page to act immediately. @jrecker got her right side up (she was on her back and looked dead, but her eyes and chest were barely moving) and within about 10 minutes, she was flying into the trees. Such a rewarding experience. We are, after all, sharing this world with them. The least we can do is help. ✌️#birdsaving #wholehealthhomestead #homestead #windowvsbird #birdwon
