I mentioned this on my tiktok but back in 2023 the fandom had an ongoing bit that for every Michael Sheen role there was a David Tennant one to ship him with. For example, their characters in Staged, their characters in Bright Young Things, when Michael was in Prodigal Son and David in Broadchurch, and so on. So in a sense, their characters did quite literally fall in love over and over and over again in every universe. And they have been because fans have been encouraging that for three years now.
