Wesker for the other headcanon meme pls

Favourite thing about him: …there’s a lot. His confidence/arrogance and lack of angst would be the main thing though…while angsty villains can be great, I feel like a lot of people think villains have to be tragic to be interesting, and I like that Wesker doesn’t fall into that. There’s something about Wesker that just seems like he enjoys what he does (for the most part, anyway). Everything from the snarky comments (saying “Charmed” when Sergei “introduces” him to the Ivans will always be one of my favourites…although some of his puns are also very funny in a horrifically painful way– “zombies to truly…Marvel”? Really?) and that smirk to the way he likes to show off his powers, and even little details like stopping to slick back his hair in the middle of a fight, or the fact he regularly refers to fighting as if it were a game.
Least favourite thing about him: why did you make me do this? (I’m joking, I appreciate the ask a lot.) But…I mean, he is objectively a pretty horrible person. Genocide is very much Not Good.
Favourite line: there are so many! Aside from the ones I mentioned earlier I do like his whole monologue in The Umbrella Chronicles… “We shall meet again before the conclusion of this drama. Then you will learn of the history… I will write for this world.” Such a great line, and so dramatic…at least it would be if he hadn’t said “Your Umbrella has folded” earlier in the same speech. (On the RE Discord server I’m in, a few people have started shipping Wesker/puns.)
brOTP: Albert and Alex Wesker…I write them as basically seeing each other like actual brother and sister (she does call him her brother a lot, after all, even though they’re not related) and I am looking forward to having some time to write because I have plans for her in The Supermen. I really like their relationship but unfortunately on AO3 there are currently no fics tagged “Albert Wesker & Alex Wesker” (at least not last time I checked)–the & tag just redirects to the ship tag and that’s really not how I see them at all.
OTP: Wesker/William Birkin. Far from the most popular ship with him for some reason, despite being probably the most plausible in canon. I just love the idea of these two mad scientists being evil together. (Wesker/puns and Wesker/sunglasses are also very valid ships).
NOTP: Wesker/Rebecca…no thanks. Too big an age difference just to start with. (Not a fan of Wesker/Jill–because of the brainwashing–or Wesker/Alex–because she sees him as her brother and I think he sees her the same way–either…)
EDIT: When I wrote this I had just seen some particularly creepy Wesker/Rebecca content so was biased. To be honest, Wesker/Alex is much more of a NOTP for me than Wesker/Rebecca. I personally find the age difference with Rebecca too much, but it’s not too horrible since Rebecca is an adult. I don’t think Wesker/Rebecca is plausible in canon, I don’t ship it and I don’t like to read it, but I’m not fundamentally opposed to the idea of it, especially in AUs. It doesn’t squick me nearly as much as Wesker/Alex.
Random headcanon: it was hard to choose one, I had to use a random picker online. Anyway: I think Wesker actually has central heterochromia–his eyes contain more than one colour, basically like a ring of another colour in his eyes.

Although after gaining his powers his eyes also change colour a lot, sometimes being entirely red and glowing, for instance.
However I think he also had central heterochromia before getting his powers; his eyes were mostly blue with some green in them, maybe also a bit of grey (this is entirely because I sometimes sees arguments about whether his eyes were blue, green or grey and I’m just going for all of the above), and could look quite different in different lights. I think I posted a drawing at one point that kind of shows the different colours?
(And just so you know…it’s the only “hetero” thing about him…sorry I couldn’t resist).
Unpopular opinion: I don’t know how unpopular this is but I see a lot of people who argue against it so…I see Wesker as irredeemable (and as I mentioned above, not a tragic character). I think he’s too much of a narcissist to consider the idea that he might be wrong, so he’s not going to regret his actions or feel remorse any time soon.
And I don’t think he’s motivated by trauma either…some people write the Wesker Project as some kind of Winter Soldier brainwashing situation or something where he was kept locked in a lab and tortured for his entire childhood but…to me that doesn’t really work with canon. He had no idea he was part of the Project or that he was being experimented on, so I think whatever they did must have been a lot more subtle and less traumatic than the common portrayal…mostly monitoring him, subtly influencing his life, and a certain amount of propaganda to try and make him agree with Spencer’s beliefs.
My version of Wesker chose to do the evil things he’s done, he wasn’t being controlled and forced into them and he knew exactly what he was doing.
Song I associate with him: I have a whole playlist that is constantly being added to. But just to name one: Red Right Hand suits his manipulative and sinister character perfectly. I mean come on, a mysterious “tall handsome man” in a black coat (not that Wesker’s coat is dusty if he can help it) who manipulates everyone…”he’s a ghost, he’s a god, he’s a man, he’s a guru”…”you’re one microscopic cog in his catastrophic plan”…it just suits him perfectly and I listen to it when writing (especially when he’s planning something, which is often).

Thanks so much for this ask. I will publish another Wesker fic at some point although it might just be a drabble…and Chapter 8 of The Supermen will also go up this month (sorry for the long delay, I’ve been quite busy).
Also…the Wesker oneshot I promised after the other anon ask (was that also you?) has been outlined although not written yet. I’ll be getting some time to write over Christmas so will try to get a few things done.
