Emma Rose: 'I Got Castrated'

In a 2023 interview on the Pillowtalk podcast, popular transgender performer Emma Rose talked about undergoing bilateral orchiectomy surgery (castration) five years earlier when she was 21.

"I got castrated! I couldn't fly with them because it's biohazard waste, so I flushed them down the toilet like a goldfish."  The 26-year-old adult entertainer explained that she was awake at the time of the surgery as a surgeon put a needle into each testicle before removing them. "I'm lying there. Imagine you're lying down and they take this big-ass needle in each ball... They do one ball then the other ball, then [cut] the cord," she said.  She continued, "Then it's numbed and they cut it open. Then you can literally feel the cords being pulled. Then I went home afterwards." ... [H]er penis has shrunk due to the lack of testosterone caused by the castration. "I don't have to take testosterone blockers [due to the castration]; I take progesterone and estrogen," she continued. "It has shrunk. I used to be six and a half [inches when erect]," she said. "I had a nice d**k, and now it's shrunk and got thinner."

Removing the testicles and shrinking the penis makes it easier for transgender women to "tuck" and hide the bulge.

In addition to causing the penis to atrophy (shrink). the loss of testosterone from castration eventually leads to reducing or eliminating spontaneous erections. Emma went on to explain that if she wants to get an erection, she uses drugs like Viagra or Cialis.

Since getting castrated, Emma Rose has become one of the most sought-after transgender leading ladies in adult entertainment, winning the AVN Trans Performer of the Year award in 2023. She has more than 400K followers on Instagram. and 260K+ on TikTok.

Well, it's been a day short of 6 weeks since I got my orchiectomy.

Still have yet to regret it like my parents said I would.

Still have yet to get serious side effects from it.

All I've got is a huge source of dysphoria gone, and no more anxiety about knocking my husband up when we do anything with my parts and his parts.

Sex is a shit load better to the point where I actually started crying the first time I orgasmed post-op.

Absolutely zero regrets.

Considering Orchiectomy?

I had my testes removed back in 2023 and while I absolutely do NOT regret it, there are a few things I wish I would have know before hand so I thought I'd share

Some of my body hair got a bit darker but not thicker or coarser thankfully.

You get your very own (what I affectionately refer to as a) primordial pouch as a bit of fat and whatnot can settle in the now vacant space.

You may feel the occasional pain/pressure in your mons pubis region, especially if you orgasm frequently. That would be some cords that connected to the testes healing. It got rarer over time but mine took well over a year to fully heal.

I was not told how frequently it would itch. They patch in the opening with scrotal tissue so now I have a bunch of scraggly ball hair that was not designed to grow off a relatively flat body part. It gets itchy when it gets shifted after having settled. This may just be because I am a little peach person with sensitive skin.

You will still ejaculate. It may be obvious but I wasnt expecting it lol

If I were to suddenly stop estrogen, I would now essentially go through menopause, which in my opinion is still vastly better than dealing with boy puberty
