Your welcome or I'm sorry not sorry to @dippingbirdfursona for liveblogging a lost-to-me episode of pre-season 7 Riverdale last night in celebration of the birthfae.
Going to the statue of liberty and running into former statue of liberty chappell roan is soooooo camp, love these photos for my birthday thank you for sharing fellow fans
re last post i don't have to worry about not expressing how much i appreciated everyone who liked the previous posts about this *sticks my tongue out at myself*
It is so so amazing and loving and a positive thing in the world that I made myself list a wishlist on this blog with a tag mostly for me to self-soothe a bit about how it was okay to post a birthday list despite my trauma around gifts/thinking they all have a secret Price or code of etiquette around them-- and like, for real, the tag was mostly a DON'T GET MAD AT ME OR THINK I'M ENTITLED FOR THIS PLEASE re self-soothing, not an actual expectation. Like, I had a lot of self-talk around "ok obviously no one is actually going to SEND anything, so don't expect that, that would be crazy. The point of the exercise is to be proud you made yourself ask, because you're allowed to do that."
And not only did at least (!) one stranger who by their own admission never really spoke with me before immediately wanna do it, they messaged me when it wasn't working??? Like, an extra step?? Which therefore ENABLED the 5 (FIVE!!!!!!) packages I currently have????? In addition to my cousin driving down because I asked (and taking me out to eat, even tho he's on his way somewhere and I just asked for TV time)?? Like, for your reflection purposes, reader, it's good to remember that had @beauteousevil (who in term seemed hesitant!) not messaged me, I would have gotten no presents, but I'd have no idea it was from error rather than disinterest!
TLDR: Ask for what you want! It's HOW you get it, and you get to be moved by it!
Thank you to whoever sent the lovely carbiners, I LOVE that these were a gift from my queer community, I am wearing the red one to match my Cheryl Blossom themed outfit. I will open the rest (!!!) periodically throughout the day, but thank you to whoever sent the present from a store called Call Hadley, and of COURSE the incomparable @dippingbirdfursona for the TWO presents and even lovelier words (icon, legend, support system) 💖
Love to you all!!! Yes, even you!!! Worship yourself for my birthfae!!!!
I got two packages from my Etsy registry today, i will probably open them on Friday aka my actual birthday but tysm to whoever sent them and wanted to let u know they arrived safely! 💜
Hey sorry if this is odd since we don't know each other but I went to buy some of your bday stuff on Etsy and maybe I'm doing it wrong because it just wants to send it to my address. I'm not about to ask where you live but if I can get your email I can send you an Etsy gift card?
Feel free to ignore if you find this uncomfortable, hope you have a happy birthday! I've got similiar hang ups about receiving gifts, so I get it.
@beauteousevil omg THANK YOU, I totally wouldn't have known if you hadn't mentioned it, also holy shit I'm sorry that you have similar hang-ups but you're so lovely for this! I googled it and created a "registry" instead, I think it shows first name and city but I'm fine with that, hopefully this is more helpful: https://www.etsy.com/registry/MTcxOTI5MTc0fDI2MDcwODYyNw
It's been like 4 days and I am only just beginning to actually process how close I was to Chappell Roan at her biggest concert ever purely based on the generosity & friendship of other queer women and screaming along to all these lesbian-ass songs under the same city sky where I realized I was a fucking lesbian and EVERYONE was screaming it so much that the whole fucking financial district had to hear it whether they wanted to or not, that fucking sapphic scream from a parade of pink, I want to scream again just thinking about it
Addition: the way after the opening acts the second to last song played from the aux was "God Is A Woman" & all I had to do was look at my friend & she laughed because the irony of their ever being a time I was disappointed "God Is A Woman" came on, and then after that "Hot & Cold" by Katy Perry came on and there was exactly enough time for initial disappointment at it not being Chappell, horror at a song off the same album as I Kissed a Girl-- a song I literally thought was a progressive miracle when it came out because we were all so deprived-- and then YANK. NOPE. 15 seconds of bad song before the Chappell Roan project took the stage. As if just giving a quick reminder of perspective and then YANKing the aux chord, shut the fuck up with that shit, Chappell time now. I mentioned it to my friend as we were leaving and she said she had had the exact same thought.
