Billy Lee as Lonnie McNeil in a publicity still with The Biscuit Eater (1940). Billy was born in Nelson, Indiana and had 53 acting credits, from a 1934 short at the age of five, to a 1956 tv episode. His entry among my best 1,001 movies is Hold Back the Dawn, and his other honorable mention is Let Us Live.

His other notable credits include the voice of the boy in Disney's The Reluctant Dragon, and Chaplin's Limelight (at 22 still playing a little boy).

Cordell Hickman and Billy Lee are best friends in The Biscuit Eater (1940). Cordell was born in Oklahoma and was seven when he made the film. He had 13 acting credits from a 1937 Our Gang comedy with The Little Rascals, this, his second credit, to 1946. Tarzans Secret Treasure was his third credit, and he was also Little Nicodemus in another honorable mention, Tales of Manhattan.
