Guys I know Jake said he was Striaghtsplaining in the episode... but TBH, I think all he meant by that was “I’m telling you something you clearly already know” I don’t think it was in any way a confirmation of his sexuality.

Okay, but imagine:

Jake Peralta is walking through the precinct when he passes some random asshole. As he passes the asshole, let's call him Lieutenant McDouchey, calls out, "Hey, Peralta! I hear you're a queer!" Jake stops, puts his hands up, and says snarkily, "Guilty as charged," and then lowers one hand to punch Lieutenant McDouchey in the face so hard he breaks his nose, and he gets into with this guy until Terry or someone pulls them apart.

Later Holt is lecturing Jake on fighting and appropriate behavior, and Jake says, "I know, I shouldn't have let him get to me, but, it just made me so angry," and Holt asks, "What exactly did he say to you?" and Jake says, "He called me 'a queer'. I know I should've taken the high road, but...I couldn't. He was so smug. Like he was better than me." and Holt nods and says, "Believe me, I know he feeling, but you still initiated a fight in the precinct, which is completely unacceptable" and Jake sighs, "I know, Sir, it won't happen again," and Holt says, "Dismissed," and Jake gets up and leaves, but Holt is secretly proud of Jake for not taking anyone's crap.
