What Should Happen in the “Faking It” Season 2b Premiere
Karma’s eyes shoot open after her dream about Amy. Karma gets up off of Liam and begins walking home, it is the middle of the night.
Karma wakes up in the morning and sits at the breakfast table with her mother, Molly.
Karma: “Mom, I don’t want you to spaz out on me. Because I don’t think it means anything. But I don’t really have anybody else to talk to about this.”
Molly touches Karma’s arm comfortingly: “What is it, sunshine?”
Karma: “I had a dream-“
Molly: “Oooh dreams can be VERY significant. Let me get my dream book it’ll tell you the meaning behind every-“
Karma: “Mom.”
Molly: “Sorry.”
Karma: “I had a dream about… Amy.”
Molly looks at Karma innocently, not grasping her meaning.
Karma: “It was a certain kind of dream…”
Karma pauses and says: “Don’t make any assumptions okay?”
Molly: “Just tell me, honey.”
Karma: “I-… um.”
Molly: “Karma?”
Karma: "I HAD A SEX DREAM ABOUT AMY! And Amy’s girlfriend Reagan. Liam was there. But he didn’t have sex with anybody."
Molly stares at Karma with awe and she takes out her phone, maintaining eye contact with Karma.
Molly calls Karma’s dad, Lucas: “Honey. Cancel the removal appointment for our matching rainbow tattoos.”
*the “Faking It” sign pops up: the sign is the bisexual flag like in the above picture*
Karma is sitting up on her bed scrolling through her contacts on her phone while her parents talk outside of her open bedroom door.
Lucas: “What kind of dream?”
Karma gets up and shuts her door frustratedly, then sits back down on her bed.
Karma scrolls through her contacts on her phone:
First contact: “Amy”
Karma: “Maybe I should tell her. I do wish she told me when this happened to her. But she’s with Reagan now and I don’t even know if it meant anything and I don’t want to ruin their- no. Just no. Not now.”
Next contact: “Erma”
Karma: “We’ve put her through enough.”
Next contact: “Grandma”
Karma: *shutters*
Karma scrolls for awhile.
Next contact: “Lauren”
Karma: “She doesn’t really know or care about me…”
Next contact: “Liam <333”
Karma erases the hearts next to Liam’s name.
Karma: “He’s the last person who wants to hear this.”
Karma scrolls for awhile.
Next contact: “Shane Harvey”
Karma: “Definitely not.”
Last contact: “Zen”
Karma: “Uh, no.”
Karma collapses backward onto her bed and sighs in frustration.

Amy is outside of her tent with Reagan. The tent is a different color than in Karma’s dream and Reagan and Amy are wearing different outfits than in Karma’s dream.
Amy is sitting on the bench of a wooden table outside of their tent by the campfire burning marshmallows then blowing them out and putting them on s’mores as Reagan lies on her lap.
Reagan: “Please don’t burn me.”
Amy devours a s’more.
Amy talks with her mouth adorably full of s’mores: “What if I suddenly develop an allergy to shellfish? What will you call me?”
Some melted marshmallow drips on Reagan’s cheek. Reagan gets it with her finger and eats it.
Reagan: “Maybe I’d start calling you marshmallow girl?”
Amy suddenly looks uncomfortable and guilty.
Amy: “I have to confess something.”
Reagan sits up and looks at Amy with mild concern.
Reagan: “What is it?”
Amy: “Awhile ago, before we met… I slept with somebody.”
Reagan: “So is this when I find out I didn’t take your virginity? Because stuff like that doesn’t matter to me.”
Reagan begins preaching and pointing: “Virginity is just a social construct created by men who-“
Amy: “It wasn’t… a girl.”
Reagan looks a little hurt.
Reagan: “Oh.”
Amy frantically begins to explain herself.
Amy: “I was drunk and angry and upset and hurt and-“
Reagan: “Who was it?”
Amy: “Liam…”
Reagan: “Who?”
Amy: “Son of Skwerkle…”
Reagan: “Oh my god! Does Karma know?!”
Amy: “THAT’S why I was late coming here.”
Reagan: “And that was really the text you got that morning.”
Reagan: “So you didn’t really have a midterm?”
Amy: “Not the point. But I wanted you to know it didn’t mean anything and it doesn’t change anything between us.”
Reagan: “I know you’re not like my ex. I know I’m not a phase to you. I know you won’t hurt me. At least not over a boy.”
Cut to Karma sitting on Amy’s porch.
_______
Reagan drives up to Amy’s house with Amy in the passenger seat.
Reagan kisses Amy then opens the car door on Amy’s side for her.
Reagan: “See ya, shrimp girl.”
Amy gets out and smiles to see Karma waiting for her on her front porch.
Reagan waves to and smiles at Karma.
Karma waves back awkwardly and shyly.
Amy says cheerfully: “What’s up?”
Karma: “We need to talk.”
