5. do you think of yourself as a human being or a human doing? do you identify yourself by the things you do?

overall i think of myself as more being than doing! the very state of existing is being, existing now like my ancestors once did and will die as they all have done. we all did different things but we all were at some point. idk that maybe doesnt make sense.

and not to say i dont identify w the things i do, just when thinking about my default existence i would count that more as being than doing :)

16. if you’d grown up in a different environment, do you think you’d have turned out the same?

i could rant about this for hours . long story short, core identities would likely be the same (ie gender, sexuality, artistry), but soo so so many other things would be different (body, mental health, etc)

17. would you say your tumblr is a fair representation of the “real you”?

yeah, i think im more true to my self here than anywhere else, social media and irl included. all inclusive of identity things, interests, etc. the only things are. 1) i try to be Super tone sensitive here, where irl im more monotonous and bad at facial expressions. 2) im a little louder and more talkative here than irl. 3) <- although i am talkative i still hold so much of the more negative things back, i am not so positive all the time hdhdh

21. do you love easily?

platonically and (for lack of more time spent thinking of a better word) spiritually absolutely! for my friends, super easy to feel love. for random people who seem like they’re good, easy to feel some sense of love. i love the plants and animals around me, and the land i walk on. i love the stuff that’s not around me!! the things I’ll probably never see and that’s fine cuz I’ll love it still! i just love the earth 🫶

romantically is not that easy. idk if it’s being aroaspec or smth else, but romantic love is slowww for me

I. Broken Glass

A sharp crash woke Riza from her light sleep. Tens of scenarios rushed through her mind, with a break-in standing out in the majority. She produced a handgun from her nightstand, and quietly crept from her bedroom down the hall. She pointed her gun to the right to the small kitchen area, then left to the living room. The window was intact, so where did the sound come from? She relaxed her firing stance and took a more detailed look around; by the table, she saw a dark spot on the floor and the reflection of soft light through broken glass. She reached over and flicked on the light switch, revealing the culprit hiding under the table. Hayate had his tail between his legs, looking guilty at the shattered cup. Riza put her weight on a hip and huffed, shaking her head at the puppy.

“Hayate, bad dog, you know you’re not allowed on the table.” She knelt down and gently scooped up the little troublemaker, inspecting his paws. She set him down after ensuring there was no blood, and gathered up the biggest shards. When she deposited them in the trash, she noticed his water bowl was empty. So he was just thirsty. “I should’ve known you were better than that, I’m sorry boy.”

She grabbed the dust pan and brush with one hand, and leaned to pet Hayate with the other. His ears relaxed to the touch, anxieties over the glass faded. After Riza swept up the remaining smaller shards, she filled the water bowl to the brim. She watched as Hayate happily lapped up his fill, and beckoned him to her room when he was done. She invited him into her bed, and stroked his fur as they both fell back to sleep.
