“I hate you for doing this to me!”
“Hm… I see.”
If Hinata had misinterpreted his actions, that was her problem. Sasuke had not done anything more than sleep in the same bed with her. No sex. That night, she had gotten into a big fight with Menma. When she stormed out, he followed her. She looked so heartbroken and defeated that he —ignoring all her protests— had embraced her tightly. Hinata had screamed at Sasuke to leave her alone. To go away, but he couldn’t. She talked and cried; he had listened.
Then one thing led to another and they ended up at a bar.
It was there where she drank far more than he had ever seen her drink before. At first, he tried to stop her, but once he realized the futility in that, he opted to keep a close eye on her. By the end of the night, Hinata had gotten so wasted that Sasuke had to carry her back to his condo. She didn’t want to go home. Not that he would have left her alone in that condition. He didn’t want to leave her at the Hyuuga Estate at the mercy of the Main House’s scrutiny either.
