alta au where The Order of the White Lotus is just a bunch of guys who work in an office together (shoutout to @your-royal-momoness for your beautiful ideas) 

Iroh is the co-manager who commands respect, but also is just super fucking jazzed about funny youtube videos and cute animal pictures he finds online and sends them to his employees all the time. 

Pakku is the other co-manager who grills everyone and no one really likes him. 

He hires Sokka as a temp because he’s trying to rekindle things with Kanna and hiring her grandson can’t hurt his chances 

Pakku ends up regretting this decision

Because Sokka is good at his job, but annoys the crap out of Pakku 

Piandao works as an accountant, but spends the majority of his time playing solitaire. He’s a math genius and is honestly way too good for this office. 

Iroh and the rest of his employees vibe with Sokka so hard, especially Piandao (Sokka’s currently in school for statistics and computer science) 

Bumi works in sales. He has the highest numbers and no one knows why. 

Bumi has a collection of cryptic things stashed in his desk

Sokka sits across from Bumi. It is a trip indeed. 

Jeong Jeong also works in sales. He leaves no survivors. It is unclear why and how he is at this office because he absolutely hates it and spends most of his time complaining to Piandao about everyone else. 

Piandao just wants to play solitaire and go home to his husband. 

Zuko occasionally comes in for IT work (it ends up being the most basic stuff, but he can’t say no to his Uncle). He does things like change passwords and teach powerpoint. 

Sokka starts downloading viruses so Zuko can come and fix them

White Lotus as high school teachers AU?

Piandao is the cool English teacher who you’re kind of intimidated by at first because he’s strict about deadlines, but he’s encouraging of new interpretations of text, listens to what everyone has to say, and encourages unique writing styles as opposed to drilling down the same format for everyone. Kids come to eat lunch in his classroom. 

Bumi is the chaotic history teacher who has the wildest stories about protesting around the country when he was younger. He is notorious for pop quizzes and some students don’t like him because his directions/syllabus never make sense. 

Iroh is the band director/music teacher. Everyone loves him. He wears fun sweaters and tries to learn new slang/incorporate memes into his emails (they are horrendously out of date). He gets his lineup to work on pieces that should be beyond their level, but no one wants to disappoint him so everyone works super hard. Kids are allowed to hang out in the band room after school. 

Jeong Jeong teaches AP statistics and is the harshest grader in the school. He goes on a lot of rants about how so many people misunderstand basic stats in news media. His class has a really high drop rate, but everyone who sticks with it will attest that it was the most useful class ever and everyone passes the AP exam. He also teaches freshman math (who thought that was a good idea?) and has scarred several students for life and most of his grey hairs have come from trying to explain basic geometry to students who couldn’t give two shits. 

Pakku is the chemistry teacher. He’s one of those ‘you can teach yourself’ teachers. He does the thing where he’ll call on any male student before he calls on the really smart female students who 100% know the answer. He was a chemist before he became a teacher and acts like he’s above his position (he’s not). He does give out rare praise and has favorite students.

On one hand, Pakku is a bitch. But on the other hand, I wanna know what his an Kanna's first conversation in years was like.

Pakku: Uh...hi Kanna.

Kanna: Good evening you old bastard.

Like...how did he convince her to marry him?
