they’re LUCKY to have found a skeleton key when they did ( and he’s glad to have found her so not to use it for himself alone ). they’d both make it back in one piece ( despite their injuries, it was better than being DEAD ), and they’d be able to rest up before the next trial came around--- dwight could only HOPE they weren’t the ones chosen for it when that did happen.
the tunnel’s long and dark-- a path he’s taken countless times before, and rarely ever with ANOTHER to accompany him. it’s nice to have the company, despite the situation they were in. he’s been quiet up until now; head turning to look over his shoulder, he allows for a small smile to cross his lips. wouldn’t hurt to try and lighten the mood a bit.. they made it, after all.
