Domain purchases around the same timeline revealed the registration of Netcoin.org on Aug 17, 2008, just a day before the registration of Bitcoin.org on Aug 18, 2008. Historical data of domain name purchases revealed that Satoshi Nakamoto, the creator of Bitcoin (BTC), was thinking to register a different domain name that did not make it. Read the full article
