f/o who runs warm × s/i who runs cold
alterbeing selfshipper trying to preen f/o but they're fully human so instead it looks like s/i is lightly biting their hair
Imagine your f/o helping you deal with your anxiety around sleep. You dread sleep. Nightmares plague your nights and the mere thought of having to go to sleep paralyses you with fear. After seeing you gets so snappy about the topic of getting to bed, they end up clocking it; whether it's because they asked and you told them, or because they recognised the signs. Once they do know, they're doing everything in their power to help you through it. They don't care how silly it is. They'll shadow you and talk to you while you get ready if it helps you not dissociate or spiral. They'll even help you with the tasks themselves if fear is making it hard to move or executive dysfunction joins the party. They'll read aloud to you. Any book you want, even silly ones that are aimed at children. If it can help you relax, maybe even draw a giggle out of you, it's more than worth it, even if they =might feel foolish doing it. They'll do the voices and everything if it's one of those books. They'll sing to you. maybe it's a specific song from your childhood theyr learnt just to comfort you, a more generic lullaby, a silly song, a song you just like, or the one song they know by heart. Even if they're one to think their voice isn't nice to listen to. They'll make you angel milk or some tea, if it can help you. They'll cuddle you, pat your head, tell your everything's alright. Even if they know they can't truly protect you from the nightmares, not really, they assure you they'll be there/ Whether they do so by putting on a show of being a brave nightmare hunter, or by assuring you that if you wake up from one, they'll be right there next to you, and they'll be more than happy to be woken up to help. Lots of praise and reassurance is involved in the process. Small touches that remind you they're there, you're not facing this alone. That night, when you finally drift off, it's not because of sheer exhaustion. You feel safe: you know they've got you.

f/os who know far more about makeup than you... they do your makeup like you are the most fragile thing, and remove it with care when the moment comes ♡
if you struggle removing all your makeup, you can trust in them to notice and offer their help immediately
Imagine your f/o gently getting you to bed. You're busy working on a project late again, and when they finish up what they were doing, wake up with you still not in bed despite your insistence you'd be joining them soon, or get back home after a long day and they see you still up and about, they frown. Not because they're angry, no no. They're just worried. They know you tend to get absorbed in what you do, or that you really need this done asap. But they know you not sleeping is not going to be good for you either way, so they come up behind you and gently place a hand on your shoulder. if that's not enough to call your attention, they call your name. They tell you you should really go to sleep now, but you insist. They're not letting you be stubborn about this however: whether it's by rationalising with you or by picking you up like a potato sack, they're getting you to bed and cuddling you until you finally fall asleep. You can continue whatever it was you were doing when you're well rested. And if there's a deadline and it gets too close for comfort and they can help you finish it faster, they will.

Imagine your f/o trying their best to cook for you. They're not good at it, at all—they've messed up cereal before. They refuse to tell you the details.
You come back home or wake up and find them running around the kitchen, smoke everywhere as the smoke detector screeches, and a very burnt looking thing on a plate. Thankfully, they didn't damage the kitchen, so a bit of cleaning gets rid of the smoke residue and soot. Once that's all clear, they look bashful—they were genuinely trying to make you something good! Or well, at least edible, they'd hoped. You guys have a laugh about it; it's the intention that counts!
Depending on whether or not you're a decent or good cook, this can go one of two ways.
You can cook, and this turns into you both making something actually edible together, and the whole while you try and teach your f/o.
Or you're a disaster in the kitchen as well, and you order from your favourite place.
Either way, the incident ends with you both eating nice, delicious food on the couch, commentating on some dumb TV show.

pr*shippers DNI!!!!
alterbeing selfshippers, you should imagine your f/o(s) associating you with your species :]
whenever they watch a video about it, come across a mention of it in something they are reading, or maybe just daydreaming to themselves, it's impossible for them to not connect it to you. and they let you know about it, too, by sending you the videos and saying "it's you!" or asking questions about what they've read.
they see you as your true you ♡
