one of my favorite things about Exorians (and Bites creation of them) is just how most time s when discussing merfolk people avoid the like… reproduction part. But with exorians? Yeah Ziphers mom had a ton of children in one.. brood? Clutch? Whatever they’re called. and the only reason they’re not here is Zipher and (c!)Bite just decided to murder for fun-

I know it’s been a good while since Mersmp ended- but I wanted to ask a bit more about Tamrin? (Gyns child, not brother- Is that how you spell his name-?)

like how he interacts with everyone- also I forgot how Gyn found him ababababa

Holy shit you asked this so long ago and I've just now gotten around to it.

Gyn found Tamren being chased and harrassed by pirates just outside the barrier's edge- he scooped them up and dragged them into the safety of the reef.

Kid didn't have a name, at first, so for a while they just called him "kid", or "kiddo". He was young enough that he needed help- but old enough to have his own opinions. Gyn eventually asked him what he wanted, and the kid wanted to stay. So Gyn gave him a name that meant a lot to him- the same name as the older brother he looked up to so much- and a permanent home with him and Bite at the castle.

How he interacts with the others:

Gyn: Gyn is his dad, by all definitions of the word. Gyn takes care of him, spends time with him, teaches him everything he knows about the world and the people in it. He teaches Tamren to love with the same ferocity he teaches him to hold a sword with. The first time Tamren called him "dad", Gyn was an emotional mess.

Bite: Bite isn't necessarily his "dad", but Tamren sees him as a pseudo-parental figure anyway. He doesn't call him dad, but instead "Papa Robin", after Gyn's nickname for him, or "Papa Bite". I imagine he probably accompanies Bite on his trips to Exoria sometimes, learning about the Sanctum and spending time with the other kids his age.

Theo and Orion: Theo is Tamren's godfather! And the one who teaches him to harness his siren song. He was the first to know, aside from Bite of course, that Tamren is a siren in the first place. He calls him "Uncle Theo", and will often spend a few weeks out of the year over in Eventide with him and Orion, furthering his training and expanding his world view.

As far as the others I imagine he spends a lot of time with Faye and Moki- I think he'd be super interested in magic and Moki definitely gives off the fun uncle vibe. I think once he gets older he probably takes on a job at the tavern working for Nalu, once it's completely redone.

All in all this child is very loved and incredibly well protected. There is a fic coming out soon that I've finally started- so keep an eye out for that :)) I love my minecraft fish son
