today i wrote another poem about the sky, but i was thinking of you when my pen touched the page
there is an aching in this autumn that wasn’t there before
above all i feel embarrassed. i really thought i mattered at least a little. how silly that sounds

he drops his hands for a moment to grip his thighs enough for flesh to pour from in between his fingers. his thighs are squeezed tightly as he tries to make himself smaller.
