of course! it would be nice to have more variety, less hegemony of one particular way of existing. the "ideal" is socially constructed--which, on the one hand, makes it annoying how upheld "acceptable" kinds of behavior are, since it's all arbitrary. on the other, it's all arbitrary, which means we can change it!
