OK LISTEN so the idea wld be that their common parent (haven’t decided which, but i’m thinking mom cause toko’s dad i hc as being the bird head which. wldn’t rly fit tamaki, um but !) wld have a quirk based on manifesting in the form of like. creating things. in tokoyami’s case “creating” dark shadow” & tamaki “creating” as in changing his appearance by creating other characteristics.

& then bc they’re half siblings if the mom was the common thread the last names wld be from their fathers which wld make sense why their last names were different. however idk if u’d be up for this if u already have hcs abt tamaki’s parents cause i personally hc tokoyami’s mom to be uhh abusive & indirectly the reason for the father’s death so ! but in this particular verse we cld talk abt it moving abt !!
