People view mpreg all wrong and only I'm right about this
They fall into the extremes of finding it purely comical because "only women get pregnant! Don't look at a seahorse," and the other indulges too deep in the inherent imagination it requires 'realistically'...
Like, yeah, a biological man ain't got the parts to grow a baby. But the whole point of the mpreg is subverting the usual, but people can't seem to find the balance between accepting the comical aspect of it while disarming themselves of not taking it seriously at all.
I find zero personal interest in the erotic aspects and means of having mpreg, it's probably the grey ace in me speaking, but I understand the appeal for allosexuals. But that's not what I'm focusing on, I'm focusing on just the trait of mpreg in a male character.
It is a subversion of expectations, a message to gender hierarchy, not to degrade men but to make women equal to them, "to feel the painful process", but all in all it's really fucking funny. But it's also beautiful.
I love mpreg, but people online never treat it in this manner. It's either erotic and too caught up in finding 'excuses' on how the male grew the parts for the fetus, or other times it's completely a joke and laughed at and shamed. Me saying I love mpreg would mean I associate with the public perception of this concept, this is the same for me with catboys and maid dresses. Which, I don't, so it's hard to say I like these concepts without people immediately giving you a weird look.
In short people gotta start engaging even with seemingly ridiculous concepts and find the beauty in them and please for the love of god just get sex out of every single topic thanks ✌️🫡🫡🧍🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Btw for my own piece of activism I have 3 pregnant male characters, and yes, one of them wants to abort🪻🌺
My personal gripes with Gacha Life 2 after fucking around it for a hour
So Krypta just made me aware today that Gacha Life 2 is actually the latest Gacha application, not Gacha Club. I have not kept up with the Gacha games status for years, okay.
I went into the game biased, I admit. I felt that any game after Gacha Life was way too cluttered, overcomplicated and uneccessarily complex. I never touched Gacha Club for more than 20 minutes all those years ago, because of how horrendous of an experience it was, for me. So when I heard of the sequel, I was skeptical. And when I went into it, I felt about the same experience as I did with Gacha Club. Overwhelmed.
Changing the lineart for every single part of the character? All these incredibly small details?? I felt as if the front hair often overclipped with the rear head, especially seen with never additions. There's a lack of consistency in the items, lineart consistency is all over the place aswell.
Now, another man's trash is another man's treasure, yes. I prefer simplicity unless I specifically ask for details. Some of these things may be why another person enjoys it, I'm not here to argue that. I, personally, just do not like it.
Because there are also improvements for sure. The backgrounds in the Studio look amazing and a lot more personalized and beautiful than the previously ripped 144p backgrounds. And all the fan inclusion is absolutely a positive thing, Gacha is known for including fan submitted creations all the time. Very well versed in the community, so I believe all of these features are things long-time fans of Gacha always asked for.
... Though I still definitely think it sucks the clothings are somehow weirdly limited. For example 90% of crop tops are for woman bodies. Sometimes there's a weird limitation in patterns or button up shirts, and many more. The sock section is a perfect example of what I want: One pattern, several version. I was hoping these would be fixed, because they're also an issue in Gacha Life, but unfortunately not ...
Though, gotta say, as purely a character creator, it's fantastically enabling and accessible. A little hard to get the hang of, yeah, but people have made straight up art out of these. So I would say it's a very respectable community. And a good character creator game. But I personally will never ever touch it ever again from how insane it is.
In short waa my brain too stupid game too complex :( personally 4/10 experience
Was suddenly invited on Wednesday from overhearing a conversation, I simply asked "What the hell are you guys talking about?" and was met with the information that a party will be held by my friend in his house, just to chill and hang out. And then was asked to come. Sudden questions like that usually lead me to just say yes from the sudden pressure.
Was the first to arrive, the family was making sushi when I got there. Tried it that day, spat it right out. Learned I'm not a fan of sushi after all.
There were board games and group activities, such as, Activity. The game. I participated in what I could and frankly sat silent or wrong most of the time, I keep being the guy to figure out all the major components but eventually too slow to piece and say the full thing together. Always felt a little cheated and unfair that way, but I can't blame the people- It is first come first serve after all. No time for auditory processing...
By the end laughter was so loud even through my head phones that it was like the annoying peak of high pitch in a badly recorded vocal... Sharp and unwanted and made me flinch each time. Ended up just drawing with another guy there, one of the 6 people I recognized there, amongst the 20.
Eventually moved to a quieter room with him, two random kids inside playing Roblox or something... I listened to their chatter of explaining their favourite games to eachother while the guy and I drew in his sketchbook. Left two cats on a page. He seemed to like it.
Eventually, overwhelmed and flinching too much, I left the party even after being pressured to stay for longer. Couldn't speak much by that point, just told them "I have to go home..." and left it at that.
Glad to have socialized and meet people and play, but I believe I'll be not doing this again for another two or so years. Events like these have always been so stressful, and I suppose growing up does not suddenly change that.
