She was thunder and you were rain - there was no battle you could not win together, no victory you could not claim yourselves.
She was thunder and you were rain - heralds of the storm, you raced her. Who could proclaim the gods' intent first? Who could warn of the chaos to come?
She was thunder and you were rain - but you thought you were more. Thought that because the mortals felt you, prayed for you, feared you- you could drown her. Wash her off, a tainted memory.
She was thunder and you were rain - and though the mortals prayed and feared, there was only one sound that could strike terror and awe into their hearts.
She was thunder and you were rain - and guess what? You were wrong.
Light drinking session with officemates plus jowa nung isa. Hahaha!

May dapat bang gawin?
today is thrown at me like caution to the wind full of abandon, devoid of hope I haven't got on my catcher's mitt just my knotted up hands when I wanted a rope
my life is a fucking abbatoir / my name, my pronouns, my identity - all lambs to slaughter / my name, once so lovingly crafted / now hacked up / shucked / butchered beyond recognition / my pronouns, a testament to my evolution / now chopped up / discarded / entrails cast aside to be mopped up / I am tired of drip feeding the world my identity / hoisted by my own petard of wanting to make myself known / but choking on my fragile tongue / I have been drained / skinned of a name / a label / a face / I want to pull out these tenterhooks / I want to feel the swell of blood rushing to my head / I want to hold the knife / let me tell you who I am with my whole damn chest / bloody beating heart and all

half way across the world they are saying goodbye to summer it's hard not to laugh at the irony the feeling of watching something slip away is all too familiar as you welcome September to the threshold
September is more violent than you remember- more unruly, more unpredictable set to usurp the fragile order you thought you had locked in a glass case
still, you let September in what other choice do you have? you try not to think about its entrance and focus on learning how to slip away when you are faced with the shards of August
September, you liminal fiend may you not steal from me as August did as July did may we learn to live together teach me how to work with wood and stone instead of glass and sand
September, I cannot say I welcome you but I can meet you at the threshold step up to see you eye to eye so that we may understand each other and walk forward together
