Hi, I've been an admirer of your writing style and blog in general for some time and I was wondering if you had any particular training or took any classes in creative writing, or even if you are a writer as a profession. (I would buy your books so fast if you wrote any!) If you have mentioned this somewhere already I apologize, I looked around but couldn't find anything that would answer my question. Thank you for your time and again, amazing blog, please don't ever stop writing!
//Oh my goodness, well first of all let me thank you for this, it’s made my day, maybe my week, to hear that my efforts on this blog show. <3 and i’m truly flattered and amazed that you think my work is publishable!
funny thing is, my publications are all nonfictional. they’re gallery show reviews in art journals and essays on specific artists. i have a book in the works to this end, and i’d be glad to pm you the title and my name (not gonna give it out here with the number of followers i have) once it’s published. right now it’s on a back burner as i’m a college professor teaching an enormous load of students at an art college this year. might find some time for it spring semester, when i have less work on my plate. but my training has essentially been in academia, in which one is mandated to generate large quantities of prose that actually make some semblance of sense in a short time period, lol. you also have to write up lessons and lectures for professional conferences and just for every-day classes. never ever go into the humanities in higher education if you don’t like writing, folks, lol.
however, i’ve always been a voracious reader and writer of fiction, mostly as a hobby. i have written original fiction and fanfiction since i was in around the sixth grade (wrote a school play lol). the original works were, in junior high school, part of timed state writing contests. in high school and college i was in advanced writing classes and really really enjoyed them. i practice writing literally every day in the rp format, and have for over...wow, like....13 years now. i just enjoy it so much, and honestly i could be more disciplined about the prose i post here ^^;;;; i usually leave rps in rough draft form though, because they’e purely for pleasure.
at one point in undergrad (i have my phd) i wanted really badly to be a children’s book writer, and did write a children’s book, but i’ve never gotten around to showing it to an editor and publisher, which is honestly my own fault entirely.
i have no idea if that’s even helpful, but golly thanks for your curiosity and interest <3 *hugs you!*
Happy birthday!! Let's hope there isn't any human flesh on your birthday cake c;
I do– yes, indeed, yes,.. yes. People-free foods are amazing. Totally.
No but, I’m having my birthday cake this saturday :3
you are a lifesaver i swear to god; i'll follow this blog forever
oh man thank you so much!!

What is the worst film you have ever watched?
Wow well there are lots of contenders here. 42 was pretty unwatchable, Magic Mike (disappointingly) was pretty bad and basically most of the "new Disney" movies.
2. If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Sushi. I can change the filling every time so I'm not really missing out on other foods much.
3. Favourite version of windows?
Definitely Windows 7. Windows 8 maybe if I have a touch screen.
4. YouTube is about to be deleted. What is the last video you watch?
Probably a British comedy show. (Kevin Bridges' "I bought a horse" story on Would I Lie To You? comes to mind)
5. If you could walk in someones shoes for a day, who would it be?
I'd like to be an evil person for a day just to know what evil thoughts I'd have or how to be evil. Being a spy or an paid assassin would be cool too.
6. What is the biggest spider you have ever seen?
Wouldn't have a clue. 5 years being in Australia and I've been very fortunate not to meet any big ones so probably just a common house spider.
7. Ever felt your life was in danger?
One time I was driving at night in the rain and was turning onto a main road. I couldn't see the lines properly (bcs rain) and was halfway onto the wrong lane and this four wheel drive nearly crashed straight into the left side of the car. Was pretty freaked out over it.
8. If you could domesticate any animal to have as a pet, what would it be?
Smaug, obvs. It's a massive dragon and it likes finding money. It's a sure fire way to be rich and feared.
9. Favourite famous person at the moment?
Either Emma Watson or Zooey Deschanel.
10. The police knock on your door. What do you automatically assume they have come for?
My doppelganger probably committed a crime somewhere in the world. That, or they caught mum speeding again, took her licence and had had to drive her home.
Now, questions for you:
What are your top 10 books?
Which country would you most like to live in, and which country would you see yourself living in in 10 years?
Could you list out some of your pet peeves?
What are some ordinary things people do that make you really happy or make you laugh?
What do you like best about your country?
What is something you really want at the moment?
5 things you love about yourself?
What is something that you'd always thought was right, but it turned out you were wrong? (e.g. a girl in my class thought Bali was a country pssshhhh)
Out of all the superhero/mutant films/books/comics/shows you've seen, what are some superpowers you wouldn't want?
What is your ideal house like?
((a lot of people followed me from my other blog, and I just wanna say hi! So how's Smoke And Mirrors?))
1, 17, 32, 37, 49 :)
thanks!! i did 1, 32 and 49
17. Will you be a student who gets into trouble a lot?
probably not
37. What wizard snack would be your favorite? Or which one would you like to try?
i tried fizzing whizzbees they're amazing ;u;
people sushi will be just fine dear~
Okay, I'll prepare that! Hopefully nbchannibal will give me the recipe, if I ask very nicely c:
