How about we declare the 15th of January as International Sherlock Mourning Day. Flags should be at half-mast and we ought to have a minute of silence at noon or so. Everyone gets the day off so they can rewatch the show and delve into their memories of desperation, anger, broken dreams and self-pity. The Queen then holds a televised speech about how people must move closer together and lend a helping hand and a shoulder to cry on during these dark times.
