Here's some pictures of the Bitraf Tool-system that ensures that ony someone certified for a tool can use it. It's an extension to our Door lock system and it's based on a concept of Circles. Anyone in a Circle can use the tool in that circle. Some of these tools don't need certification, but they are only useful if all the parts are present, so we found it useful to limit+track access so we don't loose any parts.
Our trusty Bofa filter (AD Oracle IQ) started beeping and displaying “Error 64″. A new control PCB was sent and I swapped it with the aid of Dino & TC. This is the control panel where you press buttons and it had rather tricky access. To unscrew the slippery nylon nuts we used a 5.5mm wrench through the High Power input panel on the back. Went pretty smooth & fun to see how simple the machine really is.
After the upgrade, the remote start no longer works, but I’m sure BOFA can fix that using an upgrade via the USB input.
Random pictures of things made @ #bitraf on a Thursday eve: electronics, jewelry, guitars, mega-teeth, costumes, light-up swords... #hackerspace #life #oslo
The #bitraf workshop has gotten some serious upgrades recently. Me and Nikolai have implemented tool tracking & Yoshi has done an amazing cleanup of other tools
Picking and placing 100 apa-102 2020 LEDs using the #bitraf P'n'p!
Pulled out the back wall of my desk today for an upgrade - an integrated Samsung 10" screen for the Microscope! Pretty cool that the shelf above stands by its own on the pillars? CNC'd it at #bitraf so the screen fit almost perfectly and has Vesa mount integrated in the wood. Very happy with the result!
