Taking deep breaths as he paced in the yard, Jacky sighed heavily. He was waiting for Cade to show up. He had sent him a text saying to meet him at his home as soon as he could, that it was an important pack matter.

Deep down, Jacky was wondering if it was too soon… it hadn’t even been that long since they got the call about his brother… while yes, this was something he’d discussed with Sebastian and Michael before, he still wondered if it was too soon. Was he betraying his brother? Was he even sure Cade would accept this offer he was about to give?

Was he doing the right thing?

He was pulled from his thoughts immediately when he heard the car tires pull into the open space of the driveway. “You’re here,” he said to his best friend as he stepped forward. Jacky still looked exhausted, but he’d changed into some different clothes and his hair was more put together than the last time they’d seen each other, when they got the news… granted most of it had been with Michael’s assistance, but hey, it was an improvement over last time.

"Cade..." Jacky opened the entrance door to his house, seeing that Cade was holding the screen door open. He'd invited his best friend over so they could study together, but... one problem that Jacky didn't mention. His voice was... very hushed. It didn't even sound forced, it sounded like Jacky had lost his voice somehow. He was also still dressed in a hoodie and sweatpants, something he normally only wore to bed unless he was feeling off...

"Come in..." he was a bit breathless too, as he stepped to the side to let him in the house.

Jacky was notably silent the entire drive to the arcade. Cade had texted him the day before asking if he’d wanna go, to which Jacky had agreed. He’s been excited for the day out, until Cade said something that got under Jacky’s skin a little bit… or a lot.

“What’s up, dog?”

Shuffling a bit in the passenger seat, Jacky just stared out the window as his mind raced. Surely Cade didn’t mean anything by it, but… it still made him uncomfortable. And it wasn’t even really Cade’s fault either, he had no way of knowing since Jacky didn’t talk about his old pack that much. But still… dog.

Nose was going crazy, sniffing the other and feeling them out with more curiosity than suspicion. @bittcntwiin had a scent that was... familial. After inspecting him Rhea backed off slowly, a low hum of tolerance as he passed the test.

okay, so while she had kisses him merely to get him to calm down ( as she thought it was nervous chatter and honestly thought it was a good idea ), she didn't expect him to kiss her back.

in fact, she'd expected him to push her away.

the kiss lingers, her hands at the base of his neck as she breaks it. eventually. not stepping back, at least not yet.

 ‘ do you always kiss like that? ’ acantha questions, almost playfully. ‘ or just the girls you barely know? ’
