“Sit still and let me look after you.”
"I'm don't need you to look after me, I'm fine!" Killian insisted as he shrugged out of her touch, a bit rougher than he intended to. He'd been much too cocky back at the tavern, and in his carelessness, he'd given his opponent an open window to inflict a cut along his side. Clenching his jaw, he inhaled deeply in hopes of quelling his temper, wincing slightly as he felt the gash become agitated by his movements.
"I'll be fine." he assured Ruby, his tone calmer, though slightly strained against the sharp pang along his ribs. He nodded towards the docks, pushing himself off the wall. "We'd better head out to the ship before they decide to come looking for us." he suggested. With just the two of them against the handful of idiots, and wolftime having passed for the month, they were at a disadvantage. And the sooner they were out to sea, the safer they'd be.
