That post literally Pisses me the fuck off. Mari and I were just complaining about it!
its so fucked up im glad im not the only one whos upset about it
Okay so! Today my second order of stimmy things from ruthdoodle on etsy (aka @bitterautistic ) got here. I ordered some slime, sensory orbs, a new chew bracelet, and a surprise bag. There are a lot of pics here so I’m going to go ahead and add a cut to the post.
I was checking the tracking website every few minutes tbh, and I was looking out the door almost as often. Finally, as I’m checking for the umpteenth time already before noon, I see the mail truck is already at the neighbour’s house. I rush to get my phone and put some shoes on.
Opening it, the first thing I see is a cute little Halloween pumpkin looking back at me.
Items within the various bags:
There we have the main things I was prepared for. Since I’ve had the chance to play with them a bit, I think I made some good choices.
The sensory orbs had a texture I wasn’t totally prepared for and I immediately worried I was going to accidentally squish them all, so I did a squish test. I wound up dropping them instead, but did actually squish one late. I have a picture of it, too! The bracelet’s a bit tight for me to wear (clasped, it fits fine unclasped!), so I took off one of the beads. I’m not sure how often I’ll actually try to wear it, I’ll probably need to take off one or two more, but I know I’ll be keeping it with me a lot. It’s softer than the one I got over the summer at a local anime convention and I like the colours on it so much more. I really have such a big thing for anything blue. Right now, the bracelet’s sitting on top of a bottle of soda nearby so that I’ll remember I need to drink something. The slime is, by far, my favourite thing. Originally, I thought I’d try out the slime because a blog I follow on one of my mains likes to post a lot of slime gifs which I love to watch. It seemed like a good idea? It absolutely was. I love it. There’s a warning on the etsy listing that it might have a slime smell to it, and it does. It turns out I really love that smell? It’s so nice.
ONTO THE SURPRISE BAG. My boyfriend got individual pictures and such because I was snapchatting him when I opened everything, but I didn’t remember to save all the pictures.
Look at all this stuff!!! From this view you can already see some of the things inside. There’s a fuzzy pencil, a spinny top, some blocks, a slinky, a bouncey ball, and some other neat things.
Here’s everything laid out. There were three little things of slime in the surprise bag!!!!!! Three of them!!!!!!! And there was another spinny top that I didn’t notice until digging around further!!!!! On top of that, there were two containers that I wasn’t sure what they were at first. The pinkish purpleish stuff I was pretty sure was sand. The green, I had no clue. When I opened it to check it out, I discovered it was play dough. It has a smell to it, too, in case anyone was wondering. Personally, I think it smells really, really nice though!!! I like the way it smells even more than the slime. The pink container, I believe I was right about and it is sand. It took a little playing with to be sure. I don’t know what it is about kinetic sand, but to me it doesn’t smell nice at all. I’m not complaining, I do love to play with it! It’s just something I’ve noticed after trying it out twice. Did I mention there were three bouncey balls? I think they’re hidden beneath the sticker sheet in the picture. There were three though! I went into the kitchen to toss them on the floor and try them out, and I had a hard time not jumping up and down with them. I was trying to keep the phone camera in place, oops!
Out of everything, I’m satisfied with my purchase and I’m excited for the next time I’m able to make another order. As long as they’re still there at the time, I’m hoping to get some more slime, play dough, and a few other bracelets because I lost the ‘spoonie’ one from my last order. Maybe more sensory orbs, too. I’ve found I really love the sound it makes when I shake the container. The slime, play dough, and spinny tops were definitely my favourite things from this order.
Bonus! I accidentally broke one of the sensory orbs, so I took a picture of that, too. I moved to the kitchen where the lighting was better for it.
Using the last of my spoons to support artbyca5sy
@artbyca5ey You don’t have to reblog this because I know your tired of the drama but I wanted to say publicly my support is going to casey. He is one of the sweetest kindest people I know. I have unfollowed bitterautistic months ago before casey was even a thing because I personally was very triggered by her blog. I found alot of her posts to be agressive in nature even those defending autistics and NDs. She uses the words ableist and neurotypical a whole heck of a lot and I personally don’t like the word NT for anything other than educational purposes. When referring to nonautistics I either say nonautistics or allistics. It is also in respect to my allistics Husband who found the term NT insulting. And BA uses the phrases in a very agressive way. She posts about who the puzzle piece is not reclaim able and shouldn’t be reclaimed and is too over top about not using certain words and respecting autistic for my liking. To the point she almost seems to put allistics down in the process of bringing up autistics. To each their own and I never saw her as a bad person. I just couldn’t follow her because the agression was too triggering for me. But I still felt I could buy from her. Now I just want to state I fully support casey in all this. I too am a seller and sell my things through stimtastic. I have also thought about opening a etsy. Casey has even offered to help me with all the technicalities of opening one. Which was very nice. I’ve spoken with him and he is so so nice. I too try to keep my items at just above materials. So I know how difficult it can be to make cheap good quality items and not loose money much less at least gain a little for bills and such. Please stop this fighting. It’s really hard to see a friend of mine hurt and not be able to do much but post about my support at the same time this feud can be harmful to both parties in their selling. Both deserve to be left alone. But as far as casey goes I hope people look past this and continue to be supports for the amazing work he does because I will. Oh and side note the hedgehuggies are extremely original. He has his own art and he is valid.
