Homemade Glitter Gak

Okay so! Today my second order of stimmy things from ruthdoodle on etsy (aka @bitterautistic ) got here. I ordered some slime, sensory orbs, a new chew bracelet, and a surprise bag. There are a lot of pics here so I’m going to go ahead and add a cut to the post.
I was checking the tracking website every few minutes tbh, and I was looking out the door almost as often. Finally, as I’m checking for the umpteenth time already before noon, I see the mail truck is already at the neighbour’s house. I rush to get my phone and put some shoes on.
Opening it, the first thing I see is a cute little Halloween pumpkin looking back at me.
Items within the various bags:
There we have the main things I was prepared for. Since I’ve had the chance to play with them a bit, I think I made some good choices.
The sensory orbs had a texture I wasn’t totally prepared for and I immediately worried I was going to accidentally squish them all, so I did a squish test. I wound up dropping them instead, but did actually squish one late. I have a picture of it, too! The bracelet’s a bit tight for me to wear (clasped, it fits fine unclasped!), so I took off one of the beads. I’m not sure how often I’ll actually try to wear it, I’ll probably need to take off one or two more, but I know I’ll be keeping it with me a lot. It’s softer than the one I got over the summer at a local anime convention and I like the colours on it so much more. I really have such a big thing for anything blue. Right now, the bracelet’s sitting on top of a bottle of soda nearby so that I’ll remember I need to drink something. The slime is, by far, my favourite thing. Originally, I thought I’d try out the slime because a blog I follow on one of my mains likes to post a lot of slime gifs which I love to watch. It seemed like a good idea? It absolutely was. I love it. There’s a warning on the etsy listing that it might have a slime smell to it, and it does. It turns out I really love that smell? It’s so nice.
ONTO THE SURPRISE BAG. My boyfriend got individual pictures and such because I was snapchatting him when I opened everything, but I didn’t remember to save all the pictures.
Look at all this stuff!!! From this view you can already see some of the things inside. There’s a fuzzy pencil, a spinny top, some blocks, a slinky, a bouncey ball, and some other neat things.
Here’s everything laid out. There were three little things of slime in the surprise bag!!!!!! Three of them!!!!!!! And there was another spinny top that I didn’t notice until digging around further!!!!! On top of that, there were two containers that I wasn’t sure what they were at first. The pinkish purpleish stuff I was pretty sure was sand. The green, I had no clue. When I opened it to check it out, I discovered it was play dough. It has a smell to it, too, in case anyone was wondering. Personally, I think it smells really, really nice though!!! I like the way it smells even more than the slime. The pink container, I believe I was right about and it is sand. It took a little playing with to be sure. I don’t know what it is about kinetic sand, but to me it doesn’t smell nice at all. I’m not complaining, I do love to play with it! It’s just something I’ve noticed after trying it out twice. Did I mention there were three bouncey balls? I think they’re hidden beneath the sticker sheet in the picture. There were three though! I went into the kitchen to toss them on the floor and try them out, and I had a hard time not jumping up and down with them. I was trying to keep the phone camera in place, oops!
Out of everything, I’m satisfied with my purchase and I’m excited for the next time I’m able to make another order. As long as they’re still there at the time, I’m hoping to get some more slime, play dough, and a few other bracelets because I lost the ‘spoonie’ one from my last order. Maybe more sensory orbs, too. I’ve found I really love the sound it makes when I shake the container. The slime, play dough, and spinny tops were definitely my favourite things from this order.
Bonus! I accidentally broke one of the sensory orbs, so I took a picture of that, too. I moved to the kitchen where the lighting was better for it.
stable mental health? in this economy?
how to deal with paranoia when you're home alone
since being alone generally makes my paranoia worse, I figured I’d share some things I do to make myself feel safer.
• pulling down shades - helps you feel better by keeping people from watching you outside.
• keeping music on or watching a (non triggering) video/movie - helps distract you from any noises that you might perceive as dangerous.
• put tape over camera/webcam - helps you feel safer when using your computer.
• stay in contact with friends/family - knowing someone that cares for you is available is helpful.
if you have any of your own coping strategies feel free to add on! (anyone can reblog this post)
tdpdfw your depended doesn't tag you in something they KNOW you like and it just feels like a kick to the gut : ) (or when they tag one of their other friends instead and it's like. "do you hate me now??? what did I do?????")

aaaaaAAAAAAA 2 months later and I remembered my email again pr ai s e back to documenting traits and daily things then aaaaa
what is a bfrb?
body focused repetitive behavior. this includes things like picking or biting at skin, pulling hair, etc, if doing them is compulsive, that is, if you cannot stop doing them
That adhd feel when you forget to do important things for work/school and they tell you that you don't "just" forget these things
Iiaat to not really get too emotional over someone in real life dying (except maybe at the funeral), but to get really emotional over either really happy/sad scenes in fiction?
Yep, this is pretty common in autistic people.

tdpdfw wanting to reblog something because wow the feeling like so. but not wanting ppl you know to see and maybe (correctly) guess it refers to them

Shoutout to abuse victims who have coped by becoming meek and submissive, even in situations that don’t involve their abusers. You are not weak. You are so very, very strong. You are surviving as best you know how.
just neurodivergent things: looking for easy and quick food that’s also at least somewhat nutritious but NTs thinking “easy” is something that takes more than 15 minutes of active time (30-60 minutes of cooking is not easy)
tdpdfw you see ur depended interacting with one of their friends and it literally feels like what the sound of nails going down on a chalkboard

Is crying because the food you planned on eating got eaten an autistic thing?
I think so, because a lot of autistic people don’t like interruptions in routines.Followers?-Mod Jess
