Really what dark time is Senator Vice Speaker BJ Cruz living in? To say on the session floor that two gays can marry legally and then be fired the next day for being gay is quite ridiculous. This bill is offensive in its assumptions that we are all homophobic a-holes and really just a knee-jerk redundant piece of legislation that merely copies federal protections already extended to the LGBT community. This is one of those bills come campaign time will lead to a commercial with the heavy voiceover "BJ fought vigorously to protect LGBT rights in the workplace..." with an uproarious musical swell of idk maybe "it's raining men" ?? :)

What rationale does the Vice Speaker need? The island's prison is a lawsuit waiting to happen, overcrowded, dilapidated, unsafe and a serious security risk to the law-abiding public at large. That Cruz continues to play politics while DOC is a step away from Federal Receivership is a damn shame but par for the course for the Vice Speaker. Why does he have such a hard-on for McCreadie?
