My BJD FAQ!

Last Updated July 2nd, 2016. I am going to try to make this as informative as possible, but this will mostly be a FAQ about my own dolls and not BJDs themselves. If you have a general question about BJDs it's honestly best to google the question. >>This website<<  is a great place to start learning and understanding the basics. Also, if you have a question or thought that isn't in the information below, feel free to drop it in my ask! On the Way Home: Nothing Currently! Paying On: Nothing currently! ------------------------------------------------------ FAQ What are these dolls?: They are asian ball jointed dolls (ABJD or BJD). What are they made out of?: They are resin. How much are BJDs?: It varies depending company, sculpt, if they are limited or not and other factors. Some dolls are a few hundred and some can range into a few thousand depending. How much did you pay for your dolls?: This is not something that I feel comfortable discussing simply because I don't base my dolls on prices and ranges. I dislike being tsked at for "spending too much on dolls" when everyone has something they spend on. Some people prefer to spend money on video games and movies, I prefer to make payments on dolls or buy doll accessories. What do you do with them?: Tons of things! All of my dolls also have character bios and storylines. More often than not, I model a doll's look after an already existing OC I have or sometimes I might see a doll and get inspired to create a new OC. I photograph them, write about their characters, write stories, take them places, do photostories, etc. I really like (insert name), can I buy him/her from you!?: Sorry but my dolls are not for sale unless otherwise noted somewhere by me. If you would like to send me a question about one that I do have listed for sale though, please drop a message in my askbox! I'll just go and order the same doll that way I can have one just like yours!: Apart from Lucian, none of my dolls have default faceups (and I will eventually be getting artist faceups for him some day). As stated already, many of my dolls are imaged after my OCs so I send them off for faceups or they have had an artist do their faceup in the past. These dolls match my OCs. Please be understanding of this. And, even if you get your BJD painted like someone elses as well, it's not going to look 100% the same. Not to mention it's odd to have a doll painted just like someone else's and on the same sculpt and doesn't look very creative. Also, many faceup artists will not copy another doll's faceup. Your doll/s looks like a girl! Are you sure it's a boy?: Obviously I'm sure since it is my doll. Please keep in mind they are anatomically correct.;) Your doll looks just like (insert random person/celebrity/cartoon/etc here)!: If they do, any likeness to any other person or character, real or fictional, is completely unintentional unless stated otherwise by me.  Your doll's faceup is amazing! Will you paint mine?: Thank you for the comment but sadly I'm am not that talented. All of my dolls have faceups from different artists around the web and the world! Who did your dolls' faceups then?: Answers will be in the form of DoA/Da/Facebook/Tumblr/Shop names. Feel free to drop me an ask for specifics.

Can I use your photo?: It would depend but please contact me first. I am very happy to let people use my photos for articles or something similar - as long as you ask first and permission is given directly from me, and you give me credit for my image. I would ask that you please do not use my images to make banners for your site or icons/manipulations/etc.These are my photos and although they aren’t great, I put my heart into them and it is disrespectful to the artist to take their images without their permission. So in short: No matter what it is you must must must ask first before you can use it. And you may not use my characters or their storylines as your own for RP or otherwise. They are mine. Please be respectful. Can I draw one of your dolls/characters?: Please do! I absolutely would love artwork of my resin! I like seeing how others perceive their images! Please remember to show me though so I can favorite and comment and all that good stuff!
