hi i havent posted on this blog in like Forever, but i just thought id ask:

some context is, my partner and i are going to make a big dollhouse and put bjds that we customize to look like us in it. however we are both fat (and like it like that!), and its been Very hard to find fat bjd sculpts in the preferred size range we're looking for to make into our dollsonas.

we're looking for either 1/12 size fat bjds Or 1/6 size fat bjds. does anyone have any suggestions??

Omggggg my Merry doll round berry is on her wayyyyy!!! Does anyone know where I can buy cute sweet lolita style dresses for 1/3 bjds? I know melodyC has some that I missed out on but other than that I'm clueless!

So...Brief update on my nearly 10 year old bjd(accidentally got a recast, don't feel like going into it) and uh...Unfortunately his headcap vanished on me and I hurt my arm digging around looking for it...Anyone know how to replace a headcap..?

Question:

Does anyone know if a place to get fantasy colored wigs for tiny dolls like 1/12 scale doll? The head circumference is about 12cm and I haven’t found a wig in about the right color small enough for my doll.

I'd need as close to a dark-ish teal color as possible, but I’d settle for an off-color as long as it’s around a dark teal…!

The hardest part of getting the doll for the character I want, other than the cost (I’ll get enough someday), is honestly gonna be the 4 scars he has on his body, I don’t know how to commission/get the scars without doing them myself. But I want them to actually look like, well, scars.

These scars are gonna be my downfall, I don’t know how to make them at all, but I can make a mockup using an art program and an image of what I sort of want for the doll.

Like, since I wanna just buy the face-up, most likely from Janesdolland so my doll can come with a face-up. But I don’t know how easily I could get these scars.

And they are important for the character, so he NEEDS them…

BJD stuff

I researched dolls and stuff, and I believe I found a good choice for the little toddler character I wanna make.

I’m thinking about getting the 1/6 Sprouting Dragon doll from Janesdolland. It’s the only doll I found that looked right for the body of the character I need. Which is a toddler-y body that’s more affordable.

But getting the scars in the stomach, arms, and one on the leg is probably gonna be hard… I dunno if I could commission that or not…

And it seems to be resin too, so my baby can have his dark-colored clothes on and nit have to worry about some irremovable staining…! …Now to find him a cute outfit, and to find him a dark blue (or navy blue) long haired wig. And a gold and black eye (he has heterochromia)

And to find good dolls for his sisters, who are both around the same height and are flat-chested. So far every doll I saw that was taller than about 24cm had some sort of chest to them, but I want taller flat-chested dolls.

My various BJD questions in a single post

I have multiple Questions about BJD’s and I’ve decided to make a single post to ask them all so it’s organized and not a massive mess

You can answer my questions in the replies or reblogs, and feel obligated to answer them all if you don’t have an answer eheh~!

What is a good place for buying 1/6, 1/4, and 1/3 sized clothes? (For girl dolls and boy dolls)

A good place to get fantasy-colored wigs for dolls? (1/6, 1/3, and 1/3 sized dolls)

Also, are there any boy BJD’s that don’t have sculpted on muscle? Also for size about 1/4 or taller if possible.

Tips/tools to use for face-ups? Or is it better to “commission” the face-up from an artist? But then how would I get the couple scars I’d need for the character I wanna make that are on his body… would that be in the face-up category? How would I go about making/commissioning the fac-up since I’d need body scars I don’t know how to make myself?

What’s a good way to store the BJD’s so they don’t get ruined or broken? Especially if you have 3 playful cats.

And finally, which is better in the long run, a vinyl doll or a resin doll? Considering things like staining and yellowing I’m scared to get a doll because I don’t want it to be ruined. If it yellows in let’s say a few years where I could easily order a new dollie then it’ll be okay. One of my dolls is gonna be in strictly darker colors and I do night want them to stain.

Also, along with the previous question. For resin dolls, what would be a good doll/size to get a toddler-like body? I have a character I wanna make but he’s a toddler so I need the toddler-y body proportions. I’d like him to be 1/6 scale so his two older sisters can be taller than him.

Any help is greatly appreciated! I can’t wait to get my first BJD and I wanna know everything for my first BJD, and future BJD’s I get. I also seen there are chairs and stuff for BJD’s and I’d love to get some to use with my dolls eheh~

Thanks to a lot of help I’ve received for BJD’s and the like, I think I know what type of doll I wanna get (sometime in the future) to make my favorite character! I’ll also maybe get two dolls of a larger size to make my favorite character’s two older sisters with.

Though, finding clothes that look cute is hard… especially for a 1/6 doll (I looked around and found barely anything cute that would fit the doll I’ll get)

But when I can make my favorite character’s two older sisters, finding some cheap, yet cute, clothes will be absolutely easy.

I already looked at eye’s for BJD’s and wigs, (Why is a dark blue not there…? Anyone know a cute, long, dark blue colored wig?)

So, my final question would be (other than how to find clothes, I thought about taking the closest size I can find clothes for and editing them to be the right size for the 1/6 Doll-) is if you guys have any recommendations for faceups? (I’ll have to do the face up myself since what I have in mind is specific ehe~)

Especially for a vinyl doll, but tips for a resin doll can help too! (And also any help for making the doll look like it has a scar on it’s body, the character I’m making has a few scars…)

Sorry for being annoying with questions, I’m just new to the hobby and wanna know how to do things right so I don’t ruin or waste money ehehe~! (I’m sure many of you understand ~)
