So like....are you allowed to paint a bjd face up with acrylic paints? I did some blushing with pastels on my new doll but I'm really not practiced with colored pencil. Is it like....a bjd sin?

I was trundling along on ebay and I kept running into this image: 

it’s pretty clear from the context of the posting that it’s a recast doll (like listed as “unbranded,” u know the drill) but I can’t figure out.... what the original doll is? this same image is being used on a bunch of other ebay/aliexpress type listings but I can’t find the original source for the life of me. does anyone know the original maker of this doll (not one of the bunch of other companies that are apparently recasting it)?? was there even ever an original doll that looks like this or is this a weird knockoff where the original looks super different? I’m usually pretty good at ferreting out stuff like this and it’s honestly driving me wild that I can’t figure it out

Dear Veteran Hybrid Owners!!!

Can a peach-ish head be blushed (or airbrushed) to have yellow tones? I have seen yellow-toned heads be blushed pinker but is the reverse possible?

Also before someone suggests I try the NS-Pink option, I already did. WAAAAAAAAY too pink for the head on the left (which is peachy but not full-on pink, if that makes sense). This time I bought a head to test before investing in a full body.

Boosts would be appreciated!

Weird question

Is there any doll shops that sell dolls in non-skin-tone colors? I want a like a simpsons yellow doll for a non-human (still humanoid body)/mythical OC, and I was wondering if that's something you can buy anywhere as is, or you would have to airbrush it or something

Just a question, is it normal for a company (in this case luts) to just, give you anouther head???? Like im ok with it its just thays not what i ordered i just ordered my doll and clothes ect. Not anouther head

I'm saving up for my first doll, being new to the community, and it's going to be an Island Doll Eric. However, I haven't heard much about Island and would like to know if anyone else has had experiences with them in the past?

^anybody owned an Islanddoll before? (By the way, so far i don’t mind publishing these question posts since we don’t get that many of them, but that might change if they begin outnumbering the confessions – so for anyone looking for BJD info/questions answered, some superior places to go might be the BJD Discord and the inboxes of people in this post!)

Question:

Does anyone know if a place to get fantasy colored wigs for tiny dolls like 1/12 scale doll? The head circumference is about 12cm and I haven’t found a wig in about the right color small enough for my doll.

I'd need as close to a dark-ish teal color as possible, but I’d settle for an off-color as long as it’s around a dark teal…!
