What do you guys think of this idea, calling recasts counterfeit in a more legalized fashion? I found this from @puffypuffers and @viridian_katt And I always try to say recasts out loud when talking about it, but still generally end up saying bootleg instead...^^’ I like this idea though! Your thoughts?? Pardon the spam for pro-artist signage, I’ve been seeing a lot of this lately so I’ll add my own two cents worth. I support artists of this hobby over any type of recasters/counterfeiters. Granted, it might be cheaper to buy recast, but in the long run it doesn’t work since it makes the artists frustrated and you REALLY don’t want a beloved sculpt to be discontinued because the artists gives up. It hits the hobby harder each time a counterfeit doll is created and sold, and buying from these thieves encourages them to make money on effort they didn’t expend to make a beautiful product. Please re-think your support of counterfeiters in this hobby, we want our community strong, not torn apart by thieves. If you sympathize with or are a recaster, please unfollow me.
