The desk was a total mess as usual while working, it all begins with a neat, clean surface, and the next thing I notice is I am practically swimming between beads, fibers, fabrics and laces trying to find the scissors that I am still holding in my other hand 😁😅 But I managed to take this quick picture of just one of the dolls in process. Time is running out! This week I will start with my next session of casting and firing dolls for custom orders so this past week was a little crazy trying to finishing some special girls. What some people really don't notice, well, maybe some owners do, but others don't, or they just dont seem to understand, is that these dolls not only are an amazing g way for artists to bring characters and visions to life, and are amazing artistic outlets, but the dolls, the characters they become, are an extension of the owners self. For me, Jace is an extension of myself, he is a part of me that I treasure. He even helps me with my anxiety and depression. Since getting him, my anxiety has decreased and become more controlled than it has ever been, and I've dealt with my anxiety being at the worst ever since 2004-2005. Since July of 2019 when Jace finally came home, I've been able to control my anxiety better, because I have more things that help me focus on something other than my anxiety, I have other ways to entertain my mind. And I hope, that other owners, artists, and that my friends and family, will all understand this, and understand why I love this hobby and why I love Jace. He is an extension of me, and I feel like I needed to explain what he truly means to me, what this entire hobby means to me. While at Cape May Beach, New Jersey on Sunday, I had 2 woman compliment me on Jace, and one woman asked me all kinds of questions about him, and told me that he looked a lot like me, looked like he was my son. I couldnt believe the amount of interest she showed in Jace, or the amount of time we spent talking about him. I felt so honored that day to talk about him, about the hobby, and have another person who wanted to know about him, and about myself. Jace and I tonight out outside of Uries watching the sunset over the bay. People may say that just cause I'm 27, that I'm stupid for bringing a doll in vacation, that I'm acting like a 2 year old, but what NO ONE UNDERSTANDS is how much Jace means to me.
