Latest photoset featuring Zoe, my first Volks Superdollfie. Zoe reached the family at the beginning of 2020, I adopted her from a US based doll collector. She’s a Full Choice System SDM40 from Volks USA.

For years, I never thought I could purchase a Volks doll someday. I was researching Volks as I was learning about BJD’s, as they are the first to create the resin-large ball jointed dolls. However, I didn’t like them, their aesthetics is so peculiar, I couldn’t appreciate their old-fashioned look that, honestly, I found a bit scary. You know, those dolls from horror movies, with strange smiles, wearing heavy, frilly, laced clothes...

But, doll collecting is a funny thing and suddenly, at the end of 2019, I came across some Volks dolls with custom face-ups on Instagram which made me love them… and slowly, I became obsessed by SuperDollfie!

I admit that I still can’t appreciate all Volks dolls but....I was lucky enough to find, in a very short time, a Superdollfie SDM40 on eBay. The seller was awesome, and she had her for a very good price. SDM 40 is one of the few Volks dolls that I love the most!

And… I now just LOVE taking photos of her!
