Making doll wigs is fun. Faceup WIP as well. Can’t wait for better weather so I can spray sealant again.
Been wanting to do a series as I learn wig making after I made a super quick and messy one for the Den of angles triathlon . As the new year is right around the corner thought would be a good time to start a new project. I will be going pretty slowly so if you want you can follow along and we can learn together. This week I’ll be getting all the supplies. In no particular order we need 1- ball of acrylic yarn 2- metal wire pet bruch 3- kids tooth brush 4- somthing to attach the yarn to that you can hold onto. I picked wood dowels but metal cloths hangers work too. 4- paint brush 5- stretchy jersey fabric 6- plastic wrap 7- elastics 8- glue. I picked Mod Podge for the wig cap and will use fabri-tac to attach the yarn to the cap. 9- flat hair iron 10- scissors And of course can’t forget the doll or dolls you want to make the wig for Next weekend will start making the wig caps.
Another finished wig! This is 'Moonmist' in a pigtail type wig! This one was quite complicated and there are some flaws, but it's not terrible for a first try! This is an MSD sized wig. :) #bjd #brushedyarnwig #bjdyarnwig #yarnwig #petitpapillon

This is a wig I finished a few weeks ago, but forgot to post about! This 'galaxy' colored wig is MSD size, and is very long and silky smooth. I made it specifically for this doll, who will eventually have a galaxy-based theme, but I love the color combo so much that I'm sure I'll make more wigs with it soon. <3. #bjd #bjdyarnwig #brushedyarnwig #yarnwig #soomdoll
