When both Bjorn Borg’s dad and coach died within months of each other it was -get this- John McEnroe’s dad of all people who took a fatherly role in his life after John was busy at a veteran’s tournament they were both playing so his dad just came up to Bjorn and told him it was his turn to take care of him .

Also Bjorn was John’s best man at his wedding so really fedal , sincaraz , novandy … no one even holds a candle to how close rivals have been in tennis history
